An odd way to get rid of a bug?
thats what save points are for
Although if the trojan is on your system in the first place that means you probably downloaded it as an executable file that you thought was something else. It's probably still on your system just waiting for you to use it again so it can reinstall itself.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
Get , Spybot Search and Destroy install/update and run it, ASAP (it's free and it's good). It should find it and block it, or at least let you know how to get rid of it if it can't. Trojans tend to be hard to get rid of once they get in.

You may also want to download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free edition. I've gotten rid of some really nasty deeply embedded stuff with this. Stuff that I couldn't get rid of fully with Spybots was no problem at all for MBAM.
I still run Spybot, and keep an updated version of both the program and the definitions on my repair toolkit flash drive, but I've gotten to the point of just skipping past it and going straight to MBAM in many cases since it seems to cut my work (and time) in half.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Also download something like stinger http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ and make sure your virus scanner is up to date.
System Restore is _not_ a safe way of getting rid of viruses.
And doesnt stop any passwords already stolen. You should change any net banking ones.
Super Antispyware another good antinasty program for spyware and such.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):

The "save point" probably just removed the trojan's references from the registry so that it doesn't automatically run anymore, but the files are still there.
As others have pointed out, it's this point where you have to find and remove the malicious software.
At about 11:30 this morning, I downloaded both Spybot and Malwarebot Search and Destroy to my computer, and since I now use IE8, I had to get a special update from Microsoft so that my Spybot wouldn't have certain runtime issues that it can have without the update(KB969897).Without the update from Microsoft, Spybot would have run very slowly. They both work better than I thought they would! Spybot caught 79 problems, less than 30 of them Trojans, and the rest were PUP's! Malwarebot caught 5 more problems that Spybot didn't catch! Thanks for suggesting that I download these programs!

You're welcome. It's always good to keep windows and all antivirus, antispyware, antimalware stuff up to date. If any of those little buggers get in, they can raise hell with all of your systems. A clean machine is a happy machine and that makes a happy gamer.

Sounds like SMitfraud fix might work on this one as well. But MAlware Bites is very usefull for cleaning off just damn near everything it seems.
I had some strange Trojan pop up on my computer at about 8:35 this morning, and it took me hours to find and eliminate it! When I found the Trojan, I discovered that it was one of those used to steal a user's I.D. and/or Passwords off of a computer, and I remembered a trick that someone told me would usually get rid of such a Trojan! I simply returned my computer to a Save Point I'd created at about the middle of last month, and the troublesome Trojan went away! I didn't know that such a thing could be done that way!
