Help with Dam Proc

Can someone help me with this. If you put a Dam Proc in a Aoe Dot, how does that work. will i get a chance to hit every target in range every tick. Thank you for your help.

If you put a proc in a toggle power like a damage aura, it has a chance to go off every 10 seconds, not every tick.

Likewise, if you slot that proc in an AoE that has a DoT after the initial damage (see Fireball) it will only check to proc at the initial damage. If you slot it in a pseudopet (see Freezing Rain) it will check at summon and every 10 seconds after, until the power expires.

And, yes, it will have a chance to hit every foe in the area of effect. For example, it you put a damage proc in an AoE Immobilize that does DoT, upon activation it will have the same 20% chance to do whatever kind of damage on each of the foes in the area of effect. If you have multiple procs, each foe has the same multiple chance.

But as macskull said, it'll only have the chance to proc when the power first hits. Not for each individual tick of damage.
