Soul Drain, how do you slot it?
On my brute, I go Cleaving Blow Acc/Rech, Mocking Beratement Acc/Rech, Rech, Gaussian's proc. Minimalist, I know, but duplicateable on a scrapper too.
I think recharge takes priority over everything else, but if you have enough recharge bonuses, you can expand to IO sets. If Soul Drain is not recharging in 60 seconds or less, you should reconsider your slotting.
On my DM/DA build I use a complete set of Obliteration, purely for the set bonuses. It has 79% enhancement recharge which combined with my global recharge bonuses puts Soul Drain up every 50 seconds.
I slot it with 5 Armageddon's and one Level 50 Recharge Invention IO
I slot mine with two makos and four eradications taking all the ones with acc/recharge in it. Other powers I have slotted have reached the limit of the recharge bonus obliteration offers and the to hit sets don't have acc. For none sets, two acc and three recharge. You could easily go for one acc but I really really hate missing with that power.

I think you mean Scirocco's, since mako is the ST set.

I went with the Gaussian set and let my +acc bonuses take care of the accuracy, since SD already has a 1.20x base accuracy it doesn't need much help there
I went with Scirroco set.

How well does the Gaussian's proc work in Soul Drain?
It has a chance per enemy hit every time you use it. I guess it would work pretty well for even more burst.

Per enemy hit? Learn something new everyday. Glad I started logging in the boards. It kills time at work, its entertaining, and informative..

I got with full Obliteration. 66% acc, 96% dam, 18.55% end, 89.93% rech, plus, you get 3% damage, 9% accuracy, 5% recharge, and 3.75% melee defense. Quite possibly one of the best suites of set bonuses you can get.
I've seen people slot this power in many different ways (GSFC, Obliteration, etc). IMO, +rech and +acc have priority over +dam or +tohit buff... so my question is how should SD be slotted to get the maximum benefits?
