Slotting advice: Focus?

I'm playing a claws/dark armor scrapper lately and I just selected Focus. Any thoughts on how I should slot it, both IO and non-IO?

Non-IO

Acc 3 Dam Recharge Endrec

Cheapish IO
6 Thunderstrikes

Expensive IO
5 Devastation + Damage or build up proc

Purple
5 Apocalypse (skip acc/rech)+ 2nd proc of damage or build-up

I'm more a fan of the hold proc for it, since that gives me something to do during green phases on Hami Raids.

I put the chance for hold proc in it too. Every so often while teamed I get comments like as follows:

"WTF?! Ok, who's the elec blaster? I didn't think we had any blasters."

Or once:

"Uh, which one of you hacked the game to hide that your a controller?"

Or my personal fav:

"Who did that? We don't have any blasters or controllers... Who's using holds?!"

So, it's definitely something I should 6-slot?

Quick question - not trying to derail the thread.

Doing this, when the build up procs is there any indication? Does it pop a buff icon in your buffs, or a sound, or anything? I have this on my claws/wp and have yet to notice the proc. I don't do a well enough job watching the damage I do to notice it there.

Thanks for any insight.

nope, nothing. watch your combat stats or pay close attention to the orange numbers. you can also use the "healing delivered" channel to show you when you're getting the buff.

A very cheap (few million with patience) slotting is the three Thunderstrike triples, the two Ruin triples and the Maelstrom triple.

At the high end of those sets the stats are something like:
Acc: 72%
Dmg: 95%
End: 72%
Rech: 90%

Thank you very much for the response. I'll feed that channel into one of my less used windows. I'm just the kind of person that wants to know things are working as intended.

Keep in mind the build up only lasts half the duration of the actual power, so 5 seconds as opposed to 10

I slotted my Focus with 5 Decimations (I wanted the 6.25% recharge bonus) including The BU proc, and a Thunderstrike Acc/Dam. It's not optimal slotting, but it is what got rid of the gap in my attack chain, which is FU-Slash-Swipe-Focus-Swipe-Slash-repeat. There was a split second gap between the second Swipe and Slash.

With my slotting Focus still hits for around 206 so it's not all bad I guess. I also have a BU proc in Follow Up.
