I got 2 questions. Will Doms have there dmg cap increased? And with the nerf to PSW coming wht will be the max damge it will do when at DMG cap. I think i remember 227 as being the number i got when i hit 300% dmg bonus.
Thnx.

first question is a technical yes, in that with the dominator damage change, you wont have domination eating into your damage cap. since its all based on melee/ranged damage tables instead of +dmg, you will have the full +dmg range to work with. itll make hanging out with kinetics more fun for sure.

1) No. Dominator Damage Cap remains 400% (aka +300%).

2) At the damage cap, New PSW will do 282.6 damage.

EDIT: Assuming the Scale and Mods are not changed again, of course.

The percentage isn't changing, but since the base damage of the powers is going up, the capped damage will be going up. Just about everything will be hitting harder at the cap after the changes than now.

Okay let me rephrase the question about how much damage we will be doing, I know we (/psi) got nerfed with increased end cost, decreased radius (from 25 -15) and higher recharge (10s-20s).
But what I think I am trying to ask is, right now if I hit something with no resistance to psi I do about 189-202 in damage.

How will the new PSW fare? Sorry if there is a simple answer, but I dont really get into the math formulas of the game, i just have the experience in the /psi set. I have about 4000 hours on the /psi set, and I have enjoyed every bit of it, but i guess it was bound to happen. ........ still think its a Nemesis plot.

Once PSW gets fixed (it's using the wrong Damage Modifier on Test currently), it will do 70.6 base damage at 50.

So assuming +95% +DMG from slots, you'll hit non-resistant foes for 137.78 damage.

And, iirc, Castle mentioned increasing it's target cap to 16, to match the Blaster version.

Don't forget that PSW is also getting changed from 10 max targets to 16. I'm not sure you'll often be able to take full advantage of that 16 with the decreased radius, but in essence you'll be hitting more targets per use, but dealing less damage to each of those targets.

If you have a /Mental Blaster with PSW, that's roughly what Psi Assault's PSW will be like once these changes go live.

Should be no problem hitting 16 targets, 15 feet is still a large radius.(Foot Stomp is 15 feet)

I don't get this... Shouldn't Blasters have a smaller radius (target cap) than a Dom's and not equal to? This doesn't make much sense to me.

Why? It's not written in stone, but aren't blasters generally the gods of AoE..?
