Let's go swimming (new pool power ideas)
I like Investigation and Super Vision the best. We already have Karate. Martial Arts used by Stalkers and Scrappers.

Super Vision is something I think a lot of us have wanted for a while. I'm not a number cruncher, but it'd be an awesome addition. Might be a little imbalancing, but for those who would like to dedicate the concept on their character a little more, putting slots in those powers counteracts having to pop a lot of yellows/purples. It may also escalate issues in pvp but... lol pvp.

Repurposed
Super Vision - Inspirations, Empowerment buffs, and frankenslotting IO's already give us these things without gimping our powersets.
Grenadier - We already get these from Day Jobs.
Black Ops - Smoke Grenade
Mercenary - Fragmentation Grenade
Scientist - Sleep Gas
Security Chief - Tear Gas
Web Weaver - Web Grenade
Karate - Fighting aleady fills that slot.
Investigation - They may create a badge/accolade that bestows a minor bonus to percentages or you can simply get some Day Job badges.
City Official - City Hall (Atlas Park) Influence Bonus upon mission complete.
Law Enforcer - Police Stations - Experience Bonus upon mission complete
Shop Keeper - Store Lobbies - Enhancement drop on mission complete.
Professor - Inside Universities - Random tech salvage drop upon mission complete.
Banker - Inside a Vault - Influence Bonus upon mission complete.
Day Trader - Log off in Wentworths - Earn discounts on auction fees.
Vanguard Recruit - Log off in Vanguard Base - Merit Bonus upon mission complete.
Chronologist - Log off in Ouroboros - Earn random invention recipe upon mission complete.
Midnighter - Inside the Midnighter's Club - Random arcane salvage drop upon mission complete.

One Power Pool that I've always wanted was a blue-bar equivalent to the Medicine Pool:
Endurance Manipulation
Lay on Hands: Gives +15 endurance to a teammate. (Ally only and interruptible)
Strengthen Will: Gives a teammate resistance to endurance drain and to-hit debuffs (Ally only and interruptible)
Focus Concentration: +15 endurance to self (interruptible)
Interference: Debuffs an enemy's recovery for 30 seconds
The first and third powers would be more or less equivalent to Aid Other and Aid Self, and the second would be similar to Stimulant. There isn't any way to make an exact equivalent to Resuscitate, so I've had to improvise. I've wanted to see a better way to keep mobs drained of endurance, so I added one.

The other pools are a little hit or miss, but I like this one a lot.
Suggestions:
- Combine Clear Sight and Keen Sight into one power and add a small accuracy bonus. Dunno what to fill the other power slot with though.
- Swap the order of Spot Weakness and X-Ray Vision.
- I'm thinking make X-Ray Vision a targeted toggle, like Radiation Infection, either single target or AoE.
- Give Spot Weakness a weak resistance debuff.

Possible tier 1 replacement if Keen Sight and Clear Sight are combined:
Oversight
Low-level party defense buff (maneuvers equivalent, possibly; or a half-cost maneuvers for half the end or something like that. A cheap toggle of some kind, perhaps?)
I know the others are hit-or-miss, the intention was more to get people thinking about odd combos that'd make decent potential pool powers.

So, we need some more power pools. Well, not need, but a bit more variety would be nifty, and therere very few actual ideas. So, the trick is, what superhero tropes are missing from the game that would be doable without an excessive amount of resources?
None of these ideas is especially well polished, however, they were some quick ideas to expand the power pools a bit and add a little variety.
Super Vision
Clear Sight
Passive, low-level To-Hit Debuff Resistance
Keen Sight

Grenadier
Flashbang Grenade
Targeted AOE, 5ft radius mag 2 disorient, long recharge
Tear Gas Grenade
Targeted AOE,10ft radius pet that can trigger the choking animation, chance for mag-2 sleep
Web Grenade
Web grenade, but with approximately 3-5 times the recharge and/or a greatly increased endurance cost
Concussion Grenade
Targeted AOE, 5ft radius, Low damage (energy/smashing), long recharge. Radial knockdown.
Karate
(this is a punch tree, and a melee damage power pool. Gasp, I know. Thisd be harder to implement, but we really dont have any damage-themed power pools. Itd, of course, be lower damage or higher end-cost then an attack from an actual powerset, but a reasonable way for say, a ninja mastermind to get some ninja-esque martial arts. Or for a martial arts scrapper to get some punches. Thematic, but not intended to be especially game-breakingly powerful. Anyway, on to the pool!)
Palm Strike
single target damagea palm strike to the forehead. Low damage + 50% chance for mag 3 disorient
Low Blow
Single target, low damage, mag 2 sleep for 6 seconds
Martial Block
Clicky, self +def (ranged, melee). Essentially like build-up, but for defense. Very long recharge.
Uppercut
Single target, Moderate damage, foe knockup
Investigation
Cluefinder
Passive, auto, increased inspiration drop rate
Salvager
Passive, auto, increased chance for rare salvage drops
Looter
Passive, auto, 5-10% increased influence/infamy for defeating enemy mobs
Master Detective
Passive, auto, 5% increased drop rate for all drop types (Vanguard merits, enhancements, salvage, recipes, inspirations, MA tickets, etc)
