Friday Night Flights

Knight Chill recently got in touch with Shadow & I. He's taking some time off of CoH.

So, now the mantle of running FNF must be picked up by someone else. I'm not a leader-type person, so it won't be me...

I will confirm that Knight Chill is taking a leave of absence from CoH. While he is gone, we will pick it up here and there.

Personally, I'm not in the best shape lately. I've had several family members in the hospital with seriously life threatening conditions, emergency surgeries, lotsa stress and stuff going on the last month.

My semester is also starting in a week and it will require me to totally change my schedule again.

I will be kinda in and out of game for a while until I nail down a new rhythm.

As far as schedules go, I will probably not be there tonight.

Everyone needs a break from time to time.
I don't have a problem running these FNF's while Knight is on sabbatical.
However, it would be 2 Fridays on, 1 Friday off due to a recurring commitment in RL I must keep up with.

Since I can't tonight for the aforementioned reason, I can start it back up next Friday. Maybe we can mix it up and do some in-game content, a task force or anything that you all may want to suggest.

I'll post up next week what we'll end up doing this coming Friday.

Any suggestions for this week?
I have an some arcs on standby, but if anyone wants to try something else I am game.

Also, of the regulars, is anyone not going to be able to make it tomorrow night?

ill be there but i wont feel comfortable leading anything due to my new modem, likes to just restart randomly throughout day so it has made me disconnect a few times already since having it for 2 days

It happens, Arb.
I have no problem leading it, but if the turnout is going to be slim, then perhaps we can do it another week when more folks can come along. Or, do it every other week because some of the regulars have new work/school schedules, etc.

I had an arc to run, but now I can't find it =(

Needless to say the end of summer doldrums seems to be hitting hard and hopefully once people get used to their new schedules, etc. things will pick up once again.

OK, seeing that interest in this is tepid at best, I would like to hear from the folks who had consistently run this to gauge where they are at in terms of continuing the Friday Night Flights.

Myself, I can go 2 Fridays on, 1 Friday off.

I know Knight Chill is on sabbatical (as mentioned in a previous post).
Shadow has school as well as other RL family issues (as mentioned in a previous post).
Pepsi tags along from time to time.
Kheldarn and Arbiter Morrison, are your schedules good for these runs in the future?

If we have to put the FNF on sabbatical due to RL, I understand.
If that is the case, I was thinking that I am gonna use Sunday to have a Shadow Shard Sunday Spectacular which would be a task force in the Shard set at Invincible (for the challenge, and the fun).

Either way, I would like to hear from all of you to see where you all stand in terms of the future of FNF.

depends on schedule really but in the foreseen future im good to run FNF every friday but i understand some people need time off so just let me know when and where to show up

OK, I need to go pick up my parents at the airport tonight. While I expect to be back in time to run this, if there is a delay in their flight, I may not be able to get back to start this off (if at all). It's about 45 minutes from the airport to their house and about another 60 to my place, so I am going to be cutting it close.

Meet at AE in Independence Port at 10PM.
If I am running behind, I will post on the boards from my cellphone.

With preparations and shopping and all the crap I gotta go through for Fall '09 starting on Monday, I'm exhausted. I may be passing out soon, so I don't think I'll be making it.

As things stand right now, I'll be there.

My days off are always Firday & Saturday, so Sunday Events are generally no good for me.

Surprise, surprise....flight delayed.

I am sitting at Miami International Airport hating every minute of this. Not looking good for me to make it for the start, and at this rate I might be here for a few hours.

Going to go drown my sorrows.....actively searches the airport for a Cinnabon =)

It happens. Morrie & I ended up running a Manticore with Pepsi.

yep manti was good fun except all my disconnects cuz of new stupid modem but ill be more then happy to pick back up on FNF next friday if im still able to but work is gonna be crazy next friday

I wanted to write and let you all know that I don't know what my status will be for FNF or anything else for that matter (at least in the short term).

I have a friend of mine, he is like an older brother for me. He lost his wife of 12 years to cancer. Now, he has been unable and unwilling to find closure for that part of his life. Instead, he is drinking and overmedicating himself and it is becoming more and more of a problem for him. He is about to lose his job, he is not in the strongest financial situation and he really does not have anything to fall back on. So, instead of trying to put the pieces together, he is breaking it up into smaller pieces.

This, of course, does not count the myriad of problems I am going thru on my end, but it's not about me....I want to help him get back on his feet emotionally, mentally and physically so that he can go forward and not continue the downward descent he has been in.

In the end, I love this game but my friend and my brother has to come ahead of anything else. This does not mean I am disappearing from the game, it just means that I may not be able to commit timewise to anything at this point.

I hope you folks that have been doing the FNF's understand and that I will keep you posted as to what my status will be for future FNF's.
