Size of patch?

Around 2.5GB (guesstimate). Pretty much all the game files have changed numerous times since the Collector's Edition DVD.

If you could get your hands on an Architect Edition box, that's the most up to date disc you can get. Or if you got a friend who plays, copy all their game files.
Copy all files? That sounds like a winner since I am setting this up for our second PC!
Yep me and my wife keep an updated version on an external as a backup. Came in handy when we replaced our laptops recently. Saved 4 hours having to dl the game and only took 10 minutes for the updater to fix the files.

If you already have a copy set up, then just follow BillZBubba's Guide for Moving CoH or Installing Test .

Anything that might be a problem with the two machines being different? (I had a look in the files and there is a dxdiag in there etc)

Nope. Although... if you created and saved options files which has a resolution setting the new computer can't handle, that might be problematic. If it is you can delete the options.txt file and use Tweak CoH to reset the graphics setting outside the game.
The dxdiag may have been from a controlled crash where you had the opportunity to click on a dialog box that let you approve sending QA a dxdiag report from your machine and any comment from you. You can delete that now.

If the settings are wrong its not ging to do any harm, is it? I can just reset them in the game?
The video settings are stored in the Window's Registry. They won't be copied when you copy over the game files with the current files. They will be set to their default settings anyway when you installed for the DVD. Worse case, check the "Safe Mode" box in the updater before you continue to the EULA page, that will temporarily default the graphic settings to minimum again.

Can anyone please tell me how big the patch is after installing the original-release DVD version of City of Villains?
