Plant - necessary: Strangler, Roots, Seeds of Confusion, Carrion Creepers. Strongly recommended: Venus Fly Trap. Optional, depending on your playstyle and intent: Vines is recommended, Spirit Tree (team) and Entangle (solo) are optional. Spore Burst is generally skipped.
Kinetics - necessary: Transfusion, Siphon Speed, Speed Boost, Transference, Fulcrum Shift. Optional: Siphon Power, Increase Density. Don't forget to add that later in the game powers like repel and spore burst can be slotted with kinetic crash and fortunata hypnosis for some very nice cheap set bonuses, which definatly make them worth taking even if you only use them once in a blue moon.

i have fitness for stamina. went with speed as travel.
For Pools you want Hasten. If you intend to solo at all you will want either Entangle slotted for damage, or a pool attack ( Air Superiority, Flurry, or Jump Kick ), or both if you solo often. That should pretty well fill your build till you get APP powers in the 40s.

I did all of this. Haven't figured out if I'll drop anything in the 40s.
From Plant I skipped Spirit Tree. From Kin I skipped Repel. I didn't take a travel power and use IR. I did take fitness and Hasten. Took the Primal Forces APP.
I took Spore Burst, but use it infrequently. I may drop it on my next respec, but don't know what I would take instead. I think Entangle is worth taking, not only for the damage, but to be able to stop AVs from running and consistently set up containment against them.
