Not particularly, but Chilblain's spamability, damage, and - speed are the true benefits when chopping down the big tree (AV).

Actually they are. Or rather, Requiem, Romulus, and Romulus Augustus are.
I was running into a problem with Requiem and Romulus running like crazy whenever I engaged them and it made it impossible to kill them. At the time of my first run I was Fire/Fire/Mun for the extra attack and Def Debuff (Which is silly because it's practically useless against AVs). Well, Surv. added bonus of being able to see the enemy's numbers paid off when I found that they have like 4 Immobl. Prot. and 0.0% Resistance to the effect.
You hit Ring of Fire or Chiblain twice and they're stuck. Throw it in every now and then and you'll have them perma-immoblized until they drop dead.

It does vary from boss to boss, but in general, I've found Chilblain's immobilization effect on AVs to be less than outstanding. But again, its other effects and benefits are what help me win.

According to culex's spreadsheet , most AVs have a very low Immob protection, even when the purple triangles are up. Of course he doesn't list their resists and since most of us slot our immobs for damage, it just might be that we're not stacking the mags for enough time. Then there are the AVs that run around non-stop no matter how much you try to immob them (Diabolique, Mako... 
).

That's definitely a factor.
I actually slotted mine with Trap of the Hunter so that may be why it works out like that for me, I didn't realize slotting those powers [Immobilizes] for damage was something many people did.
You learn something new everyday :P
Just soloed my first AV, Black Scorpion at level 50. He was tough, had a couple AoE attacks, but was able to drop him eventually.
Couldn't have done it without Aid Self.
I preferred using Ice Bolt to chillblain though.

Enr/Elec What would you slot where to assit in soloing AV (Is it even possible to KB a AV?)
I hear always about the soft caps, where can I get a list of these?

My next project is an Energy/Elec Blaster. I'll let you know how it goes. Check the rest of this thread for advice on how to hit the ranged defense cap. I think someone linked it in here somewhere.
In other news...I just soloed Synapse & Requiem with no inspirations. (Separately.) It's a bit momentus for me. Ever since I heard of Requiem back in 2001 I've wanted to beat him one on one. Now i've done it

yep, there's many an EB as well that have no ranged attacks. Chilblain is perfect for an easily survived solo battle. I can't remember if AVs are easily immobilized.
