a laptop question
Need to know your budget before we can make intelligent suggestions.
www.notebookcheck.net is your friend.
There are tons of crappy CPU's and vid cards out there, this site has lists that will help you compare them.

I'm not much into ATI cards, but if you go for a Geforce card stay away from GS cards and generally don't go lower than a 9600GT if you want to run CoX at the highest detail levels.
CPU wise I swear to Intel's Core 2 Duo, just don't go lower than a T7500 if you can afford it.
My GF bought an Asus with a P8600 and a 9600GT last month, absolutely fab for CoX.
Good luck though, buying a gaming laptop can be quite a research task. The manufactorers put out tons of models and most of the cheap ones suck for games like CoX.

Depends on the resolution - I had a 15.4 inch hp with an nvidia 8300gs that did just fine in coh default install. My new 17" HP with 9600GT runs it buttah smoof.
You can go insane and get a sli or crossfire gaming laptop too but I would say depending on the screen resolution I would say a min of a Nvidia 9300 or ATI 4350 and DEDICATED graphics memory should do.
Check out the Gateway fx series. running mine on highest gaphics setting in Virtue with little to no lag.
Thanks guys, I am thinking of an HP or a Gateway myself!!

I have the Gateway FX that is (was) exclusively sold at Best Buy (for around $1000) and it plays the game great! Its a big desktop replacement model but it has no problems playing at full graphics in any zone. If you are interested, let me know and I'll send you the exact model and specs from it.
I am thinking of getting a laptop for playing CoH on the road, any recommendations?
