No, you do not have to have tornado summoned for the bonuses to apply; they are always on. You can check a bot's stats to see the bonuses.

Pet uniques affect all pets regardless of where you slot them as the bonus technically buffs your supremacy. You do not need to have tornado out to get the buff. I have a necro/storm with all 4 pet uniques and all my pets get a 20% resist and a 10% def buff.
I know this has been covered before..but I am getting two different opinions and hoped to resolve it.
My MM is bots/storm.
Can I slot the rech pet set uniques into my tornado, and have them buffing my NORMAL pets? ie, have the def bonus stacking? And if so, do I have to have the tornado summoned or is it always on?
Any help would be spiffy
