Want to kill AVs Which scrpper build?

Ok....looking for ideas ...here is my thought process. I want a scrapper primarily that can..

A: Kill AVs
B: Solo
C: Possibly PVP
D: Be FUN....more like A2

I love the idea of Spines/Dark...just not sure if that can kill AVs

Always liek DB...but I had a DB Brute to 50 didnt seem to have the heavy burst damage for Killing AVs

Never done claws
Never done MA

I havnt played Katana in a VERY long time and only to 35 didnt seem to have the burst damage either (could be wrong)

BS-never really did much with that either

Burst damage isn't required for killing AVs. High sustained long term dps is.

Honestly, I'd recommend anything except for Spines/* for what you want. All of the other primaries can generate the dps needed to defeat an AV and have sustainable endurance if you slot appropriately. */DA and */FA are also going to have some problems soloing AVs. */DA because it's just so expensive and */FA because it doesn't really supply as much survivability as is needed for AV soloing.

I justed watched the video of the DB/Inv killing the AV...didnt think Invul was that good anymore. I used to love my spines/invul WAY back in the day...ahh the days of perma unstoppable....*sigh....

How about DB/WP? or DB/SD-SR?

DB/WP and DB/SR are both capable of soloing AVs. DB/SD is incapable of soloing AVs because it's impossible to make.

I feel my DB/WP is pretty damn strong and does good damage. She is really good, and I'm currently using a [censored] build that has empty enhancement slots in some of my attacks and defense powers(I'm lazy with this character).

You want Fire/SR or DM/SD. Don't go with a lethal set unless you want to run into some serious headaches against certain (several) AV's

Does fire/ do that much damage? I have a 50 fire/fire tank and I think the fire melee is blah...of course once again its been a LONG time since I played him. he has been around since release of COH lol

Fire/* does a good bit of damage and is highly competitive on both AoE and single target damage. It pays for this by having no real utility outside of damage. Without IOs, I believe it's actually the top ST damage dealer and either #2 or #3 AoE.

What about fire/wp?

If AV killing is the sole goal, pick between the above two, Fire/SR if budget is a concern, Shields if you have @billion spare inf.

And that said, I'm a huge Fan oF DM/Inv for ridiculous smash/lethal survivability, and the damage to get the job done.

There are 3 scrapper build to look into when solo IMO. Other can do it but these 3 stand out the most.

1. Is Fire/SR it is a good build and can be made a AV solo on a budget.

2. DM/SD if you have a lot of money it is the best.

3. Dm/SR it is not as good as /SD but it is still one of the best AV solo. To make the build good you don't need to spend as much inf on it as you would for /SD.
