If you are really bad at the game, simply getting more kills than deaths means a whole lot and should be bragged about. That's probably the case here.

I *was* PvPing pretty heavily in RV the last few months. I too have an energy/energy blaster. From personal experience, boost range and slotted fly is your friend.
Firing boost range + BU + AIM + snipe while flying high seems to do wonders. I've noticed lately that alot of vills opt to not choose the fly power, instead going with buying the flying pack, meaning they only have unslotted fly. If you have slotted fly, they're gonna be hard pressed to chase you when you're already so far from them, thanks to boost range.
An annoying thing to do is to camp/fly above the vill base and take pot shots with boost range and snipe out of the range of the drones.

Yeah, fly is a completely different tactical consideration now that hover resists -fly debuffs. You can literally fly in the sky and take popshots at people before they, if they ever, figure out where you are. Flying stalkers will give you a little bit of trouble, but with a blasters damage you could go toe to toe with them.
