Changing account names.

Is it possible? I'm trying to change my name in my master account (My real name) and it won't let me. Do I need some special permissions to do so?

Also, can I change the name of my master account to something else? Or does this require special permissions also?

[/ QUOTE ]Ask Customer Service. Even if it's not normally allowed, if you have a good enough reason, they may be willing to help you out. Be polite, be reasonable, explain exactly why you would like to change it, and be willing to accept a "Sorry, can't do it."

A change of name due to marriage, for example, would a very good, and very understandable reason. So would wanting to change it because you're now divorced.

But if it's because, say, you wanted to add your middle initial, well, I wouldn't hold my breath.

My account says my ex's name because he's the one that opened the account. (I didn't have a credit card or anything at the time, so I couldn't.)

I've asked support if I can get it changed to my name. Everything else is in my name now. Negatory.

Yeah, same here. My account is my ex-boyfriend's name. His wife and my husband aren't thrilled about it, either.
