Learn me 'bout Dual Blades, please!

So yeah, I want to roll up a Dual Blades Scrapper. For the secondary, I'm planning on Super Reflexes, but that's ... well, secondary.

What I really want to know about are all these combos. The "guides" I've seen thusfar only mention what combinations are good at level 50, and rarely touch upon what's effective for levelling up. So I put that question to you!

From the looks of it, I can perform the Weaken combo as early as level 6. Empower comes at 8. Then a big ol' wait until 26, when I can use Attack Vitals, and then 32, when Sweep is available.

Do I try to get both Weaken and Empower as soon as possible? Can one wait a little while I take secondary/pool powers to shore up my defenses?

I guess what I'm planning is to grab the Weaken combo as soon as I can, and use that until my defense is bolstered. Then move on to Empower. But when will I be able to disregard the first couple combos in favor of the others? Do I respec out of the first two combos once I can use the second two?

Any advice on how to build up a Dual Blades Scrapper would be helpful. Thanks!

I don't like Weaken, and Empower is (imho) weak at low levels because you don't have enough recharge to run it well. I ignored combos until 26, and then I used Blinding Feint, Attack Vitals, Power Slice, until I got enough recharge to get rid of Power Slice.

Nihilii definitely knows more than I do when it comes to DB and has been an big help in the shaping of my DB scrapper. My opinion is to go for the Weaken and Empower combos in the lower levels and then once you do the first respec mission switch to the Attack Vitals combo. The reason I say to pick up the two combos in the early levels is because DB is all about combos and this lets you experience them as you level up. I don't have any experience with the sweep combo simply because I find the Attack Vitals combo to be enough to handle any situation. However as always you may prefer a different approach.

This

I did the combo at early lvls but wasn't doing a lot of damage. So I stop doing them and looked to see what was good and Blinding Feint>Attack Vitals is what I got. I run Blinding Feint, Attack Vitals with Hasten up when it is down I run Blinding Feint> Attack Vitals> Power Slice. Sometime when SS hit like 4+ and they are not dead I will use the Sweep combo right after.

That's a good idea. Myself, I used dual builds to test combos, while keeping the main build like I wanted it.

Personally, I skip Weaken/Empower combo.

They're really not that impressive, or worthwhile.

I did find using Powerslice and working my way to the Attack Vitals Combo.

Grabbing the Sweep Combo is good too. But, yes, it can be skipped. Doing that however, is more of a personal choice matter.

My 50 DB/WP has it.

My current DB/SR is skipping it, and going for just BF->AV combo (picked up Power Slice, I plan to get enough recharge I won't need to use it though)

My DB/WP all but ignores combos. When I feel like it I run Bliding Feint + Attack Vitals + Power Slice + whatever's recharged by then.

My DB isn't a priority for me, so he's hanging out at 39 and has gaps in his attack chain you can drive a truck through.

Oh yeah, I have 1kCuts too, just for the wild arm flailing of the animation, it makes me smile.

I ignored the low level combos, just using attacks that looked good. When I could, I respec'd into Attack Vitals. That's my only combo. Sweep is good too.

This. I found I did pretty good damage without combos in the early levels. And by 26 my attack chain was complete.

You should be fine without combos until 26.

Pick up Blinding Feint asap.

Blinding Feint, Power Slice, and Ablating Strike did me fine until 18 when I got Vengeful Slice.

Vengeful Slice is KD, which is helpful mitigation.

These 4 attacks served me well until 26.
