Soft capping my SS/Invul

looking at Weave in about 4 bars to try and soft cap my typed defenses for my Brute, does anyone have a guide floating around? Didn't happen by one in the stickied thread.

I bookmarked a guide for softcapping inv for tankers a few weeks ago, not sure if it works the same for brutes. Let me see if I can find the link for you.

It's typically touch of death / kinetic crash, obliteration and reactive armor.

It can be a bit trickier with /INV due to the typed defenses. I would have to know your build in order to know what sets I would slot.

This is what I came up with spending a couple minutes in Mids. I didn't know how much you were willing to spend, so you could easily get more +Recharge and +HP with the build. You're well over the soft cap to Smash/Lethal, and in all honesty that's all you really need.

So far...5 sets of 4 slotted Reactive Armor, 1 set of 4 slotted Kinetic Combat and Invinc is 6 slotted w/ Red Fortune, 1 set of 5 slotted Doctored Wounds in Dull Pain.

This is mine (just a project atm), soft cap against S/L, perma DP, and 40 hp/sec regen. The regen is central to the build if you like to solo big spawns, as you dont have any self heal other than DP on a long cool down : with soft cap defense and 70% resist against S/L the 40 hp/sec allows you to survive really well even in the most lethal environments (aka boss farms for example).

There is no purple inside, but all of the uniques and LotGs, it's a 600-800M build, depending on which price you can get the most expensive recipes.

PS : and dont forget the FF proc in Foot Stomp, this thing is a beauty as it has a chance to proc for every critter FS hits !
