There aren't any to the Fortunata costume that you get as the default slot 0 costume on either VEAT (as far as I know). Once you get another 'regular' costume slot you can use unlocked pieces on them.

ok makes sense, thanx much!!!!!

No problem. One good thing about that though is with VEATs you get a 6th costume slot at level 10 as part of the VEAT arcs if you're looking for that new slot still. Part of Brick Johnson's arc (i'm pretty sure, might have the name wrong) unlocks a costume slot. You can access his missions starting level 10 if you follow the VEAT arcs.

Note: If you unlock this extra one, plus the other 4 slots (3 tailor missions, and the halloween salvage slot), you'll still only have 5 slots showing up on the UI and you won't be able to edit the 6th slot, but you can select it using binds.

Wait a minute. You can get a sixth slot but you can't edit it? So, what's the point? It's just going to end up being a duplicate of the first slot, isn't it?

Edit: No, I haven't had a VEAT up that high of level yet.

Posted

No, it becomes a duplicate of the 2nd slot. So make your second costume something really good that you'll want to keep--then unlock the last one. Then, edit the second one and: six different costumes. I have a macro-button for the sixth one so I don't have to keystroke it every time.

I'll probably just create a bind for it. So, that would be cc 5 for the bind, yes?

Correct. cc5 or whatnot. Don't forget to add the emote that you want, too.

Despite the fact that you can readily change amongst six different costumes, be prepared to always be the subject of "No, you can't," "You're lying," and the ever popular, "They must have changed it, it was never like that before." Although, I have seen some folks make money off of it. "Really? I can't? Bet you 1,000,000 inf. that I can."

It's always been this way. Enjoy your bonus costume, and good luck!

Kool. Thanks, Dumple.

Now I have to start playing my VEATs more often.

What DumpleBerry said. And yes, "cc 5" will switch to the 6th costume.

However, in my experience, it's not always a copy of the second slot either, it seems to be a duplicate of whichever costume you are currently wearing when the slot is added, so lik ehe said.. make it something good before you earn it, then edit your existing slot to something else and you'll have 6 different costumes.

Oh, then what would happen if I was wearing the VEAT costume at the time? Would I get a second VEAT costume and be able to do my helmet and non-helmet versions finally?

If the question is: "Would something cool and awesome happen," then probably not. I think, as the sixth slot is un-editable, that this is clearly a bug/not-entirely-working-as-intended. Until it is removed/fixed, we can only make the best of it. I'm glad that Mateo mentioned that, because I have heard of it "going wrong."

In summary: be in your second costume slot, the one you are intending to copy, and hope for the best.

[/ QUOTE ] Think about what happened when you got your second slot on your VEAT.. Your costume was stripped to mostly generic parts, but keeping the same colors you had before.

The same thing would happen to your 6th slot if you were in your 1st costume when you unlocked it.

Oooh, yeah. Not good at all. I definitely don't want a "blank" costume.

Thanks again.

Oh no, it's not blank at all. Your villain is forever immortalized in their underpants with generic hair and face.

Now, if this is the look you are going for, bully for you.

And yeah, we *really* need an option to use the VEAT costume bits on more than one slot. I don't mind the all-or-none approach, I just wish it wasn't the none-or-none approach.

Yeah, that's what we were discussing above. Unfortunately at this time you can only have one Arachnos costume and only in Costume Slot 1. All following Costume Slots have regular costume parts accessible only.

Well, the unlocked part wouldn't have anything to do with you turning 24 or being an SoA. What were you doing at the time? Have you been awarded any Defeat badges recently? There are some unlockable Claws you may have accessed. This is probably the most likely case. As a Widow however, you won't actually be able to use those Claws.

But really, as a level 24 it couldn't have been either of the Claws. Vanguard Claws require becoming a member and collecting Vanguard Merits to unlock them and you're way too low to have unlocked the Rularuu Claws.

I'm stumped on this one.

Lvl 24 is the forced Respec.

Any time you respec a character with customizable weapons, it basically takes the weapons away, and it will say "unlocked costume piece" when you are re-issued the weapon at the end of the respec.

Correct. In this case, I'm wagering it's the widow claws.
