New to Mission Architect - Starting Up Question

Hi all. I'm new to mission architect. I think I'm missing something basic here and maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

I bought Mission Architect bundle, and can browse the user created missions and create my own just fine, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to start them.

When I create my own, I get to the point where it says test mission, then it brings me back to the Mission Architect building and I can't find where to actually enter the mission.

Does it have something to do with the ticket vendors? What are they?

Again, I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here, so thanks for your patience and help with one of the new heroes on the block.

(After you click "Play" or "Test," the generic contact holograms become the contact for your selected mission. Go click on one of them to start the contact intro for your mission.)

1. the glowing green guys turn into your mission contact
2. you talk to one of them to get the mission
3. to enter the mission you click on the big glowing space behind them.

additional notes:
there is a hospital a door away. If you go to the hospital while in an AE mission you don't leave the building.

when you exit the hospital into the room with the mission computers, there is an inspiration vendor just to your right (kind of hidden around the curve).

As people have said, at the center of the room, in front of the computers, is a large cylinder of green light.

Around the cylinder is a row of small circular surfaces. Standing on them are some dudes.
Initially, they are grey with an electric looking green mesh on them. But, when you selected an arc, they get replaced by the contact.
