Make costume slots toggles?
'Cause swapping costumes takes up memory. Not just for you but for everyone else nearby. A person could, theoretically, hot-swap their costumes fast enough to overload someone else's RAM with each change, causing a system crash.

Doesn't it just make more sense to key in some macros..? It's simple enough to change costumes, unless you're using the menu...
Also, Toggles can be removed in combat. Mez may not anymore, but a new "toggle drop" property was added to certain abilities that are intended to remove them.

Does that mean that if costumes were toggles you'd get pantsed by Toggle Drop Powers? =-3

I'm pretty sure this is the reason for the 30 second delay - though I wouldn't mind seeing that reduced some (say, 15 seconds.)

*Stops...Thinks...*
I am 110% behind the motion to make costumes toggles. Yes indeed.

That's pretty much the answer. In terms of utility, costumes can already be swapped around like Halloween costume toggles, except they can't be "turned off." Put a bunch of macros for /cc 0 to /cc 4 and use then.

/macro 1 "cc 0"
/macro 2 "cc 1"
/macro 3 "cc 2"
/macro 4 "cc 3"
/macro 5 "cc 4"
/macro cast "cce # CCCast"
/macro spin "cce # CCSpin"
/macro lightning "cce # CCLightning"
/macro presto "cce # CCPrestoChango"
Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.

It recently WAS reduced to 15 seconds, thanks to a bug. Apparently, that was enough to cause performance issues, so instead of instating that as the new costume change time, they fixed it back to the normal 30 seconds.
Seriously though, unless you're making a ton of minor tweaks in Icon or saving all your costumes to file, how often do you NEED to change your clothes more than twice a minute?
Seriously, turn off super speed and hasten when you're eating and you shouldn't have to change nearly as often.

That's the best reason I can think of to do it. Shades of Maxwell Smart and the "Nude Bomb!"
Now that Toggles dont get turned off in combat. And since costumes are a huge part of that game, and are getting a fair bit of focus right now.
Is there any reason why we cant just make our costume slots toggles? Like the Halloween costumes.....
That way we can switch between them fairly easily.
Just a thought...and I realize there may be a billion technical reasons why ti wont work.
