You have to go to the simulated contact in front of the big yellow portal. I believe it also explains it through the NPCs in the building.

After you click accept, you must go to the 'holographic contact' to get the mission. The holographic contact is what assigns you the first mish. Click the 'available missions' link. Accept the mish from there, then you're ready to go.

You may be running into arcs that were invalidated by yesterday's patch. To confirm: after you click that accept button, the contact hologram does NOT turn into a contact character and, if you go over and click on it, it says you have no mission available, right? If so, yeah, that's an invalid arc.

It must be what Ironblade says, cause I did find one that let me play it... I guess all the ones I chose before had the bad luck of being broken by the patch. :s

Yeah, I had this problem a few days ago.
Ok Ive been trying for the last 10 or so minutes to try and play some of these arcs. But each time I click play, and it says I wont be able to use contacts, and I click accept. Nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to do something else? Is there a level req - both my characters are only level 8...
