giving melee powers ranged attacks...
Right now all the customs critters are even more overpowered than they were upon release of I14. People were complaining about the overpowered nature of our custom critters so they give them an overpowered ranged attack and mess up the starting powers. Brilliant.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.
They fixed the idea that critters could be immobilized and ripped to shreds with very small risk to those doing the immobilizing.
Now that is brilliant.
It was an exploit, deny it all you want.
Edit: I wasn't refering to the OP but I will clarify by telling anyone who claims the change was a mistake, is only denying the fact they fixed an error in the Mission Architect.
He's denying nothing of the sort. He's only saying the devs' heavy-handed "fix" has broken his arc.

Nobody said ANYTHING about an "exploit" but "YOU" so there is nothing for "me" to deny.
Giving already overpowered critters that use the players scale for damage a ranged attack that scales higher than some of their tier powers is stupid. Regardless of the "need" for some form of ranged attack to deal with "those" people using hover farming, this overpowered ranged attack was not the best solution. A ranged attack in line with lower tier powers would have been enough.
As it is now the previously overpowered custom critters are even moreso now and that is causing serious problems for arc authors. See the test server thread on this for more information on what is actually going on.
The ranged attack "should" be base on the PvE scale and that would have been fine. Just like BM minions and LT's get an archery attack, no problem. Giving them an overpowered ranged attack based on the players damage scale throws things way too out of balance for arc authors.

give it up, the more ya all ^$#&^ the more the devs laugh at us

No it explains your psychotic response.
Yeah my response was about custom critters being overpowered and the new ranged attacks being overpowered.
You jump in with this exploit crap, that had nothing to do with what I was talking about, yeah thats pretty psychotic.

The way they did it was hopefully just a short term solution, because I don't want my custom Mobsters to be throwing bolts of electricity or ripping a rock out of the floor and throwing it. They should have a ranged third power choice that is mandatory for melee archetypes that includes a handgun, a thrown rock, and whatever else the "developer" mobs get to choose from.
Until then, my mobsters are SUPER-mobsters, and that's just dumb.
