Right-click/Info makes cape disappear

Whenever I right click and hit info on a non-human enemy (EG: Sky Skiff, Rikti HAV, Arachnobot, Controller pets, Lusca, etc), My cape vanishes and I have to reset my costume, using the full 30 second delay.

Is this because of my low-end graphics card?

Is there any easier way to get the cape back without using the 30-second menu?

/reloadgfx might do it, but if your system performance is THAT bad, it might take a lot of time for it to reload and look like your client froze... or maybe actually freeze it or DC you too. lol

I'll stick with the risk-free 30-second plan, thanks.

This has been happening to me lately as well, and I've heard some comments from others about it. And my graphics card is faboo, so I doubt it's yours. It's a new and exciting bug brought to you by Paragon Studios.

I think it has something to do with making the character portrait on the "Info" screen. It stutters for a moment, then the portrait comes up at the same time my cape goes "fft."

So THAT'S why my capes have been vanishing so bloody often as of late. I love looking at right click->bio a ton, too.

[/ QUOTE ] That little "portrait" is actually a mini 3d environment with a copy of that character standing in it. That's part of why it may stutter for a moment and why the contact list has long load times on older systems. I wonder if your cape is being transferred instead of copied for some reason. That'd be weird.

I haven't noticed this issue on any of my characters, but I'll keep an eye out for it. Do the people having this problem have anything in common? Same manufacturer video card, low memory/resources? Does it happen on every character you have, or just certain ones?

I only have one char with a cape, so I wouldn't know.
