Question: Complaints

Quick question for the knowledgeable out there.

I received a complaint on a MArc yesterday (81829 - A Voyage Fantastic) about one of the destructible objects not being found. I don't think the complaint was there the day before yesterday so it's new.

Do complaints about a MArc stay in place permanently?

I would hate for people to be glancing over my proposals, seeing the Complaints button visible, and moving away from them because of a glitch / bug I cannot control in any way.

I wasn't aware there WAS a way to make a complaint about that. Obviously you can't help that I have gotten the same complaint before (someone who said last mailbox was untargetable but what they had was a "painted" mailbox that was part of the background)

I is possible someone make a complaint about content (report for content)? Remember some people are very sensitive especially about language, sex and race, but you can also be reported for drug references, copyright etc (lol technically it is a copyright infringment to use the words superhero or supervillain).

If it's that my guess is the only way to clear is to republish or perhaps unpublish. If you can't get an answer here you can always petition.

You can't please everyone, so lets concentrate on me.

I am not sure that the complaints button is ever shown to anyone other than the original author. I have looked for them, frankly seeking them out: for an arc that some people are moved to complain about because of the content of the story may have a story more interesting than most.

That's what I was worried about. Public statements making people avoid my arcs.

Complaints are never shown to players -- just the GMs and the author. Unfortunately, they cannot be removed from the arc at this time, so you'll have to grin and bear looking at the list even for the stupidest complaints that the GMs are also ignoring.

My one-mission hippie stomp got flagged as "Obvious farm, lots of buffers" despite the enemies ALL being armed to the teeth with attack sets and weapons and controls and AOEs... it's boggling.
