Team Leader Issue

My wife and I are trying to team up and level up our characters, but whenever we team up, we encounter a problem trying to select the team task.

If I'm in charge and choose her mission, it says "you cannot change the team task because you are not the leader." If I select my own, it isn't a problem. Similarly, if she's the leader, she can select her own, but can't select mine.

Any idea why this is happening and what can be done to fix it?

If this is happening in AE missions then that appears to be 'working as designed'.

Though, if you are getting this with regular missions then that's a problem.

Is the mission tagged Hero or Villain? I've encountered this problem myself, and yes, the entire team is in the same zone.

I solved it by passing the star to whoever has the tagged mission and they'll set the task.

I encountered that issue. The team was running the Midnighter Arc. I joined a team that was getting ready to run it and since my toon hadn't run it yet, I grabbed the first mission as well.

I was about 3 levels higher than the team lead so he wanted to run my missions, but he couldn't get them to activate, he ended up passing me the star.

I didn't think anything about it, just figured he was inexperienced and couldn't figure out how to activate my mission.

At the time I posted that, I was running the Midnighter Arc (I just finished it - good story). But it had happened before we were doing that, too.

Has been consistent since she got her account.

My friends and I have been having the same problem for at least a week now. Whichever team member's mission we want to run has to have the star or the mission can't be set. (And this is in non-MA missions). Not a huge deal since we all know each other and it's simple enough to make someone else team leader; just mildly annoying.

This has been an issue since i13 release I believe.. You figured they would have cleared it up with i14.. Hopefully i15 will fix or the patch today will

no it's not really the same issue.

In I13 you couldn't set a mission unless everyone was in the same zone but once everyone was in, the leader could set anybody's mission without problem.

Now, the leader can ONLY set mission he currently has ( on his toons). If he tries to set the mission of someone else in the team ( even if they are all in the same zone) he will receievd the message "You could not set this mission because you are not the leader" ( or something similar)
