Character Planner

I don't have much mac experience, but I do use GNU/Linux and I can run Mids' on those systems using Wine (Windows compatibility layer) and installing the Windows version of Mono (truly cross-platform implementation of .NET).
As far as I know, your only other options are to install a copy of Windows in a virtual machine, get use to using Sucker Punches' planner, use the in game tools, write your own hero planner, or beg/pay Mids' to port the planner.

Darwine, WINE for OS X, Haven't tried it, but some people say it works fine for them.

If you are just looking to run Mid's, Parellels allows you to run a virtual Windows machine in a window on your Mac. It works fairly well. The performance hit is probably a bit low for running CoH but for working with Mid's it works fine.

I'd tried to use Darwine to run Mids but to no avail - do you know anyone that has it running, and how they got about getting it to work?

What's the status on either Mid's going JAVA (or some other Mac friendly structure) or Suckerpunch's planner getting a major update?

Suckerpunch mentioned he was updating his planner to be I13 compatible a while back. Haven't heard anything since.

SuckerPunch is currently in semi-retirement from the Titan Network. He and a lot of the other founders are/were suffering from major burnout, etc when it came to City and Titan. (link)
This has caused the development on the new planner to basically stop (though SP may still be poking at it from time-to-time).
There are a couple of newer faces (myself included) at Titan working on maintenance and some new development at Titan, but SuckerPunch's planner has always been his baby Griffin. Frankly, it scares me to even think of the complexity behind that code, let alone updating and maintaining it :/

I know there have been other threads on this, but either they've fallen off the board or my search-fu is weak.

I love playing on my Mac. I hate not being able to plan a build in fine detail.
