I think there needs to be a website, kind of like a combination of 'Rate your Professor' and a travel agency, where you can see a more sensible array of categories for player-made arcs.

That way if I want farming arcs, I can go to the farming arc category. If I want quality comic-genre story arcs, I can look there. If I want high-challenge missions, romances, mythological themes, mind-benders, cliffhangers, surprise endings, CoH Lore tie-ins, and so on... I can find them in a list of recommended or submitted titles.

The only thing that the current star-ratings is telling me is how many people clicked on something that already had stars, that its good for farming, or how popular the arc was among the devs and their friends at launch.

I'm sure there are tons of excellent stories in there to be played, but there is no way we will ever find them except by accident.

Would anyone else be interested in a more useful AE index? And by 'interested' I mean both using it and working on it (if it were a fansite).

From I15:

* Enhanced searching and navigation options like key phrase tagging and arc difficulty display help players find the content they're looking for even faster

...I forgot what experience means.

Those features don't help me find the kind of criteria I outlined in my post.

Hm... Places like that are springing up like mushrooms after a spring rain.

Interestingly enough, I have developed a site very similar to what you want. Feel free to suggest more features as well to make the most useful that it can be to MA players.

It's at www.masearch.somee.com
