Circular Dependency?

The error message makes no sense to me. Here's what it says:

Mission 1: The triggers are creating a circular dependency. For Example, if A triggers when B is completed and B triggers when A is completed, then neither will ever trigger.

That's not what I have set up. What I have is a destroy object that triggers a rescue ally spawn. When the rescue ally is complete, I have a boss spawn.

It's not circular. It's very linear. A starts B, and B starts C. Why isn't this working?

(Also, not sure how this would affect it, but A - the destroy object- and B - the rescue ally - are required for mission completion, but C - boss spawn - is not)

Any help would be great.

Unrelated question:

I occasionally get this message:

Someone voted on 'arcname'.

At first, I thought it meant someone voted 0 (thus the no tickets), but now I'm not sure. The number of plays never change after that. My stars are also remaining consistent 4s, which seems unlikely if I was getting 1-3 zeros everyday.

What does that message mean?

Do you have a detail triggered by a detail that comes after it in the order on your detail list? You should have the details in the order that you want them to occur, for the most part. I was banging my head on my desk back in Test over this "Circular Dependency" thing, and it turned out that my objectives-- though having all the proper triggers set-- would not function because they were out of order on the list, in terms of the way they played out.

Sometimes when you have a listed-first/happens-later objective triggered by a listed-later/happens-first objective, it goes wonky. What I've been doing is getting all the mission completion objectives, in the order that they happen, at the top of the list; then all the optional objectives after that. I've been having good luck with things spawning reliably that way as well.

Yeah, the order is off. It should go A -> B -> C in the mission, but the detail list goes C -> A -> B. Is there someway to move the C event to the bottom without retyping and redoing everything?

Well, you can edit it in the text file stored on your computer. Other than that, in the interface, there isn't a way except delete and remake. Editing the text file for something like that is fairly easy. The way it's laid out, it's pretty obvious what each thing is. Just cut and paste.

Dec out.

The someone voted on arcname message means that someone voted 0-2 stars, thus not granting you any tickets.
