Or just drag and drop the missions in the top panel to rearrange them. That's less work and less prone to accidental deletion hijinks.

Love the Drag and Drop. The Devs really put thought into this interface and it shows in the small details.

I promote D and D instead of deletion as well, because you can keep an accurate track of your % space used that way. It would be terrible to finally get the mission just right then find out it's too big with everything added in

If the drag and drop thing is not in the tips and tricks, it should be. 
This may be obvious, but in case it is not, use "save as" to make a copy of your arc, then delete all but the mission you want to test from the copy. Be careful not to delete the original!
