What changes I think this game needs.

Positron isn't that bad of a time eater though. (unless your doing it on a team of 8)

But 3 people can run through Posi in 2 hours.

Wow, I'm kinda of discouraged by this. Nobody feels the way I do? Nobody else? Hmmm...

Anybody think the merit costs are fair, or do villains just need that big Strike Force worth 50+ that the heroes just seem to have several of?

Maybe, since the only thing anyone else agrees on is the lack of content red side. More strike forces means more opportunity to get merits, and that would help make things easier for Villains, perhaps.

We all agree that Villains need more content. They'll always need more content, as will any game.

Merits, however, are fine. You seem to forget that BEFORE the merits, you were given exactly 1 random roll for every TF and Trial you completed. Now, since most TF/SFs give you well over 20, you can not only reap your reward, but save up for a second, which is the equivalent of double what it would've been before the Merit changes.

As for things costing so much... Uh duh. When you purchase something with merits, you're not paying for the recipe, you're paying for the security that you'll be getting THAT recipe, rather than having to roll for it forever. If you don't like that, then just keep doing the random roll and hope for it. See how long it takes you.

I think some of them could be brought down a tad.
For example: A Numina's Convalescence: Regeneration/Recovery costs 250 Merits. In WW it's selling for what? 70 - 80 mill?
So I either lose the 80 my toon has, or try and put together a Dr. Q Tf for 111 merits, wait, re-run it, and then do a 50 + merit TF and buy it then....
OR!! and this is the best part, I can chance it on a recipe roll.
*crosses fingers*
Please, baby, not another Touch of Nictus or Touch of Lady Grey....*looks at the recipe rolled* Touch of Lady Grey: Defense Debuff/Endurance Reduction
STOP TOUCHING ME!!!

*sigh* there went 20 merits.....

I see the Numina's unique selling for 40 mil in many cases. Remember that it's level-irrelevant (the recipe will work exactly the same regardless of whether it's level 30 or level 50), so you don't have to bid on a particular range for it to work. If you really, really want the recipe, and don't want to do more TFs, spend 100-125 merits on the cheaper uniques that still sell for 30-40 mil in WW; browse around to find which those are. Then bid it on a low-competition range on Numina's.

But that's merely a quirk of the system which will only last as long as it takes the market to price things according to their difficulty to obtain (a year or two). So don't complain that recipes that are expensive on the market are also expensive in merits; what else would you expect?
