is EM a good primary for stalkers in pvp?

It's ok, Spines is better.

Yes, by quite a bit. I have completely stopped playing my EM stalker after I13. There is simply no point. Now I stick with my spines.

Before I13, there was a tradeoff. EM did WAY more damage, but spines was much easier to play because of the range. With I13, there's no tradeoff. Spines is still much easier to play...but it also does almost the same damage. AS is AS, and a critting impale isn't much different from ET now.

Just another one of my most powereful toons made useless with I13.

go spines, or be like the other 5,000,000,000,000,000 EM stalkers out there currently

Okay so spines is better what to use with it? Thinking of nin or maybe SR.

With the range damage nerf to melee toons in i14 I suggest you actually look at updated numbers.

If you want to kill noobs go EM if you want help to dmg L337z go spines.

*shrug*

I went with Dark Melee/Ninjitsu.

Sure it isn't the best combo, but it's not the worst either.

I don't choose my powersets based on what is good in PvP.
I choose them based on what I like and figure out how to make them work in PvP.

Probably why I'm not that great of a PvPer, but I refuse to play a set I don't like in the rest of the game just to be good at something I spend less than 10% of my time doing.

But YMMV.

My EM/Nin kills indiscriminantly. My Newly rolled DM/Nin will also. (just hit 50 Yesterday , still shopping)

Spines takes less skill to get kills though, I'm guessing that's why it's considered "the best", it honestly shouldn't even be a Stalker set IMHO.

A ranged Immob that deals good damage, and make you sit duck there till he finishes you off. Thats why it is the best.

Well, that, and the fact Dev's dont really care that a powerset make others subpar to the point nobody will play it (on pvp).

hehe, im about to finish a spines/lolregin, and in pve it plays way way differently than any other stalker that i've played. the ridiculous aoe focus makes it a beast.

in pvp? well, it's a tight build with a better attack than ET (impale) that is completely irrelevant to a good stalker's playstyle. (AS is AS. rokur used to run around the test ladder with a damn MA/SR and MA/WP. AS still hurt the same.).

spines just looks more badass than the pompoms.
seriously, the only reason i can't play my em/sr is because of the damn pink pom poms.
