ARRGHH!!! ..I just dont get avatars !!!

80 x 80 pixel size max?? .... geez..

im trying to shrink down mr awsome but everytime I do.. the picture gets fuzzy or blurred.. I even traced and base colored the image in flash using vectors.. but when converted to jpg.. its still fuzzy..

Jpg tends to be notorious for that kind of thing. Have you tried saving it as a png?

Maybe just the dpi? I took the image and cropped it. See if this works for you.

You may try starting with squaring off the original image. 80 x 80 is a square image, shrinking down a rectangular image will usually cause some undesired skewing.

Depends what you have access to, if you can swap it to a vector image first (ie - have Illustrator, then live trace and refill the colours) you should be able to avoid the fuzziness.
But I do like the .gif
