WIP for Desmodos

Sorry, not one of her, just a speed paint test for " the Villain" in the forth coming piece...

though I did do a test for her face... here.

Until I realized Des would most likely prefer a different actress for the final,
so I'm gonna have to sketch up Monica Belluci...

Man! My work is tough on the eyes, oh well whatever the client wants...

Oh wow, those both look fantastic! The behemoth looks great!

very nice work on the behemoth! and that's a good test for AJ, even though it's not the right likeness, it's still good

Thanks but now comes the hard part, the pose...

I like where this is going.
Full speed ahead, good sir.

You seem to have a good grasp for what I was hoping for. As for any embracing...if and when the time comes, we'll leave that for a different theme.

looks eerily similar to something I commissioned a long while ago

My 50s:
Hero: Armor Assassin (scrapper), Cross Dresser (scrapper), Surly Seaman (blaster), Defensive End (Tank), Rad Rhino (Cont)
Villain: Beast Infection (Corr), Sweet Zombie Jesus (MM), Milk Weasel (Stalker), Orgullo (MM), Agent Eris (Crab)

Can't say I ever saw that one, but if Des would like a different enemy or a different pose, let me know...

I totally respect my fellow yellow Taclobanon, and would never want to copy him or anyone intentionally NOT at the client's request, which I only got a week ago.

Also my pose is entirely about the hero, his is more than 75% about the villain. I am even intentionally blurring most of Baphomet as to not take away attention from her charms...

Check back in my blog thread for a color test, final will be much tighter... until I hear otherwise. O_o

LJ, I'm rather liking the direction you took. Please continue.

You heard the client. Tomorrow, we go onward... regardless of implications.

Also I'm a little upset as a former client that you would accuse me of anything... are you accusing me?

[/ QUOTE ]

What's to accuse you of? The only similarity is it's the same group of enemies from the same game. They're completely different pieces.

And they both look awesome.

I agree. besides them being both demons they're not simmilar at all, the angle is completely different. and the hero posing is too.

Well regardless of the lack of an accusation, I do find it rude to post another artist's work in another artist's thread. Couldn't this have been asked privately?

(Alex shut up... that's right I chose the Road More Festered! )

And by the way Alex, what if this piece totally ruined my final attempt? I am forever influenced now having seen that... how can I go on? How can I be inspired about coming in second best... okay, okay stop laughing... I know it's a stretch.

Muck-raker!

Edit: and quit goading me! Lindsay Lohan is out there on the loose! None of us are safe...

I absolutely love the shot, LJ!!
That is epic in an up-close and awesome, giant-demon-pounding way!

I'm also very interested in these quick colors you've been doing in painter.
They actually have a cool look to them of their own.
More importantly though, I love seeing artists taking on new methods and tools and improving upon them and figuring out how to use them to better themselves, their process and the final product.

Yep, I'm a fan alright, haha.

And.. You know... There is something nice and old school D&D about prying an eye out of a large demon!
However, this action shot and scene is not "old school".
I love the pose, the set up and the (vicious) concept (Twisting the horn and ripping the eye out!!!).
Hah... Sorry, I haven't been around posting many responses lately, my enthusiasm for this one is gushin' out.

Anyway... I'm looking forward to seeing this one completed!

oh and I suppose you NEVER saw THIS PIECE which by the looking at the paper it's drawn on is waaay older and I dare say the original pose of hot sexy girl on demon action!

I didn't want to dig around the internet to find this evidence of your blatantly ripping off someone else's pose but you had to drag me into this, and this is what happens!

Yes I'm the dude, posting as the dude, posting in this thread, accusing you of ripping off another dude who didn't post in your thread!

*I hope you don't mind me posting someone else's art in your art thread, it does have you in it after all.

Dude, I just giggled in place for like 30 seconds... you rock!!!

I'm digging it. Epic, an interesting angle, and it really puts me in mind (in a cool way, not in a bad way!) of the Chernabog segment in Fantasia. I mean, if that movie had a hot chick pwning Chernabog, which maybe it should have.
