Very cool!! Cric's been dishing out the awesome lately...

Yeah with Cric's own post of this and his explanation that this is "charging" and not "explusing" ice, like I saw it, this is even a bit cooler (see what I did there ). From that point of view it really does look like the animation before the blast of bitter freeze ray.

Any way you look at it ... this is a very cool (see ... I did it again ) sketch.

When Capt Quebec hit 50 I had Alex do a Chibi for me to commemorate the event (he had had a similar commission in the week before). Anyway, I liked the idea so much that when my 2nd tank hit 50 I had him do another chibi to commemorate the event.

So here is Bloodheart's level 50 by Alex

Very cool art... And I like the commemorate 50 in art tradition!!

But... is that a chibi?? Just what is the definition of chibi anyway?? I always just assumed it was the big headed little body things but if it encompasses more than that (or if I am wrong on that) then I am totally confuzzled... ((admittedly, not an uncommon state for me.))

The angle and pose kinda kills the easy recognition of the chibi style, but yeah bigger head, a little chubbier look ... I think they look like kids ... the Capt Quebec one referenced in the description Bloodheart's DA post shows off the style a little better.

But he does have a "cartoony" face which I really like for these commemorations.

KKay... I'm just used to huge heads is all. Either way though, cool piece

Oh btw in case some of you might have missed this, after I did 2 more of Sanchez's torso sketches, I looked back at the one I had done of Thornster and it looked like the worst one of the three. So using what I had learned from the other two and some comments from you guys, I went back and did some touch ups. That eventually became my Avatar, and with a few more touch ups, the piece now looks like this:

Some small touch ups can go a very long ways. Nice job!

Much improved... especially the horns look a lot better. Also the ridge where they protrude from the skull looks more realistic and the hair now follows Sanchez's lines much closer. Every change you made looks to be an improvement. Good work Thornster.

nice chibi nice touch ups.

for caem: chibi originally comes from probably manga and in its purest form is a character that is usually half height and 1/3 to half of that is head. wikipedia says chibi means short person or small child. Chibis are usually meant to show greater expression and are probably the basis for emoticons. However that definition has expanded to include all sorts of variation. Generally cute and short are the operative words.

Well eventhough everyone seems to be outside enjoying the sun ... I'm still getting new art so I will keep sharing

Anyway, this is my thrid and final piece from Cric. This is Blackthorn my plant/thorn dominator.

Awesome!! I love how he's growing out if the plant! Way cool.

I like to think that he is actually walking all over them because Blackthorn is really a dominator ... he doesn't have the "ask nicely" sissy attitude controlers have. (That doesn't make him brave, but he dominates what he can )

Ya, I can see that... Originally I saw this from my mobile and that's not the best art viewing tool... Still a very cool piece after seeing it full sized

Well being an altoholic has drawbacks ... one is that there are long lapses of time where you have no character dinging 50 ... and then ... they all ding at the same time.

And so ... to commemorate one such recent event ... I once again had Alex chibi the toon in question. This time it is my dual blade scrapper, Starslicer.

And the dinging continues ... hehe ... so I keep commemorating
