It looks like they've got a bunch of free content packs also, if I'm reading their advertising correctly. Hmmm... I've been curious about poser for awhile. For that price, I might go ahead and buy it just to dink around.
There's a bunch of junk available for it online as well, though I have to imagine that most of that is probably pirated as opposed to public domain.
DOES Poser have a strong "open source" support community or is the freely available stuff mostly cracked and therefore illegal?

There are a lot of free items for Poser as well as a huge list of user generated items for sale from various websites includeing Content Paradise linked above.
Renderosity has a huge market of clothes, items, characters, and models that are designed for Poser. There are specific areas designed for superheros, fantasy, and other genres.
Poser 6 for $30 is a very good buy and Content Paradise is a legit Poser dealer so I wouldn't worry about it being illegal. I think they are offering great deals on version 6 because version 7 has been released now.
and even Poser & there has a pretty serious discount, I think I might snag this, I've always wanted to tinker around with poser after seeing what some people could do with it form various sites.
