And if you would like to know my reasons for making the offer: I am begining work on a project that I will need at very least 1 artist for, and preferable 3-5 artist. However, I want to know I can trust each one to get the jobs assigned to them done and in a reasonable amount of time. Plus I don't like taking anything for free, so I always offer to pay or compensate in some fashion.

I am not the king of speed. If anything I am the anti-fast artist. I would never lie and say otherwise, even for free game time and awesome swag.

I do hope you find people you can rely on. Having worked with other, faster, artists I know I know in real life, it can be a bit frustrating.

Not too late. I was going to give it 24 hours.

The tough part will be sticking to just five. Thankfully I'm very encouraged I will want to do more after that.

I can appreciate honesty, but at the same time I don't feel that the time requirements would se unreasonable. If you're interested, send me a PM and I can give ya a general run down of what I'm talking about.
I'm not expecting anyone to gimme a return of 20 seperate pictures in 4 days or anything like that.

Oh really now? Okay then, I'll bite. For your consideration, my bots/ff main Acid Zero, not-so-generic 'evil alien mastermind'. 'Nother screenshot. Sadly, I still can't get his look quite right in the character creator, but a while back someone got insistent enough that I do a sketch of what he was really supposed to look like.

Here's what came out, on 'vacation'. Not very good, I know, but at least it shows he's not supposed to be spiked or scaly. And if you'd like a bio, well have at it. Fair warning, though: it's long.

I dare you to beat me! I've got a piece, still unfinished, that has been lingering in my queue for what... almost two years now (not quite, just checked and it will be 2 years on March 27)... Shoot, I've had a baby since then and he's almost 1!

Luckily I don't charge because of my slowness.

I'd submit screenies, but you've got more than enough to overwhelm you as it is. As someone who is slow and has a ton of other things on their plate, I know how that can just rip all the steam out of your engine. I look forward to seeing any finished pieces.

You guys really made me feel welcome, so thanks bunches. I was reviewing pictures of everyone this morning over my eggs and toast and came to the conclusion that you really don't make it easy on a guy. I have decided on my first five, and they will be:

Baron Winter
DieselMeat
Kai
Schreodinger's Cat
Savannah Nightwolf

So thanks, guys, I'll start working on your pieces.

But, wait, Chillkiller, did you say "first five?" Oh yeah, about that... I decided to do sketches for everyone who submitted up to my self-imposed deadline of this morning. So I will be doing sketches for the rest of you as well, and will post the next block of five up as soon as I'm done with these. They may be a bit more rough than the five I originally promised to do, but I want to thank you all by making sure everyone gets something.

I'd tell you that you can thank me later, but please thank me now because I may be too exhausted later to understand ... those... things... what'd you call them? Words!

Man I need more sleep... or coffee... or both...

Thanks for not trying to overwhelm me. Seriously, though. If you look on my spartan DA page, you can see the stuff I posted as incomplete. The pencil drawing of the fantasy hero with the dragon behind him, I started that in the 90s. It was supposed to be a christmas present for a friend. He and I don't talk anymore, so I don't feel quite so bad about not finishing.

But yeah, being a parent seems to stretch your time all sorts of odd ways. I speak as the father of a four year old. Here's to hoping both of us find some time for art in the coming year.

I hear ya on that one boy!!

I have 6 yr old "larva/boy" and these days, the "me-time" seems farther and fewer between (musician here), but it only gets more fun as they get older!

To anyone who is a parent of a young child...

Enjoy this time with your kid(s).

It is a most magical time, that seems to only pick up speed, and steamroll away a little bit each day.

Thank you for choosing me as one of your first five Chillkiller. I patiently look forward to seeing any finished pieces as well!!
