Fallen Thunderbird is more indescriminate force of nature than cunning villian. I'd expect someone else with a real grudge tricked her into being there. Sort of like bringing a pocket nuke to a knife fight - total overkill unless you have murder on your mind. If Bayani lept aside and she put a few volts or claw marks into one of the other villians by mistake, no one would be surprised.

...and DownShift-PD1 is in it for the money, plus the fact that he takes his 'co-workers' being refuted rather badly...; yeah, it's just a job to him, but sometimes, you have to make things a bit...personal....

Hmm, villains...

Charade de la Mort

She loved entertaining. Even among the rest of her internationally renowned troupe, which she'd joined in her early teens, Eileen Gravois seemed to have a sway over the audience, brought about by her obvious love of what she was doing - whether it was death-defying stunts, interacting with the animals or being a clown, the smile on her face never needed to be painted on.

She loved what she did, she loved the crowds, and she loved life. And they loved her back. Life was simple. Hard work at times, but it was good.

The overthrow came so quickly nobody had time to warn the group, meant to entertain the Prime Minster and others on the country's independence celebration. She was forced to watch as the extremists took her group, calling them spies, agents of "evil," harlots and worse, and executed them one by one. By the time they got to her, she'd broken, never having to have faced such anger and fear and having done nothing to earn it. As the guards started to come for her, malice in their eyes, her fear and anger reached outwards, ripping at them, tearing them apart. Her confusion became the confusion of others, who started attacking each other. And their leader - their leader trembled, rendered catatonic as she poured her loss into him, denying him the final release she'd given his followers.

The love of life she'd had was gone, along with her innocence. The love of the crowd, of entertaining others, had died. Now they'd dance for her amusement...

(Mind/ dom.)

As far as Bayani, her need to put him down is simple, if somewhat irrational. It's not so much that he's thwarted plans of hers before - the two have never directly fought face to face. His skills and talents, however, strike a chord down in the part of her that remembers her friends, the patience, grace and showmanship that used to captivate audiences. That's a part she wants dead and buried - and the easiest way to do that is to make Bayani the same way.

Update: No final decisions have been made yet. But I expect to keep this little contest going at least through the end of the year. Everyone's open to enter. Two notes...

1) I'd like to keep the villains group balanced. Ideally, I'd like to have three women characters and two more male characters/monstrous types.

2) My secret panel of judges and I enjoy memorable characters and will be making our final choices based on how well the character's history is fleshed out (both personal and ties to Bayani) and costumes that tie into the characters' background and have an iconic look. (intriguing but not complicated). Celtic Bolt, Mr. Majesty, White Peregrine Soul Train, and Planet Girl are some examples of characters I've really dug. (I'm sure you can find them on dA too).

I apologize for not mentioning the above earlier. I've been kinda winging this as I sort out the details. This project is best described as a combination writing/costume contest. Every player is encouraged to submit an entry. People who have submitted entries already are welcome to edit their characters and re-submit as well.

Take your time everyone, and bring your Sunday best.

I'd love to volunteer Dieselmeat.

Info, screenies, and what-not, are in the sig.

Why? Because he doesn't need a reason to want to hurt someone and hates just about everyone!

Heres Maes, with bio and Screenshots

But how he ties to Bayani?

Maes has been on the Earth since egyptian times, and alive before then. When Paragon grew, he worked with many heroes, took notes of many, and even started making files of all the heroes he would ask for help in dire situations.

Bayani just happens to be one of the ones he'd ask.

Oh, this sounds like a great thing to be a part of, I do love to apply to the freebies but I feel your judging criteria is going to blow my entry out of the water.

I really want an iconical toon, I just never felt like I've achieved that with any of mine yet, I don't even know what server Bayani is on, or his bio if I wanted to lace mine into yours.

But I hope everyone else post great bios!
