The Inspiration Maker's Guide [i12]
Thanks a lot! I never bothered with bind files but in this case of insp combining they seem very useful (I'm not used to playing melee, mostly controllers and doms so I never cared too much about insps except breakfress and maybe an awaken now and then lol, and with the ambush 'thingies' I'm finding combining quickly does wonders, I'm using your macros and really noticed a difference).
Great write up Microcosm.
I do have a question before I go mucking around with stuff though. I'm thinking of binding the movement keys to powers, is that doable?
For example, bind hasten to the "w" key, that way when I walk forward, I try hasten?
Nvm, went back and read the original post a little more closely and found my answer, reading comprehension ftw!!
Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?
Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?
What an amazing guide! I wish i had seen it 3+ years ago when it was first posted. Attaching inspiration combinations to the movement commands is insanely effective as your inspirations seemingly combine themselves as you move around.
This is like finding a new power for all my toons. My 50s always had full trays as I got insps faster than I could use them and I certainly didn't want to take the time to combine things. Now they just all turn into whatever insp (or couple of insps) I want most. amazing.
Thanks for posting this!
Zaphod's just this guy, you know.

Naw, but it's a fairly useful guide for combinations of insps.

I know I already commented but I just have to say again THE MOVEMENT BINDS ARE AWESOME!!!
It's gone a long way to solving my ice/storm troller's mez hole, has made my fire/fire tank good against +4/x8 and added power to my f^3 blaster.
They are especially good when soloing as the inspirations just flood in. Having the movement binds auto-combine them into whatever is most useful means using a resource I was only able to make moderate use of before. My previously somewhat squishy fire tank now has at least 2 purple inspirations on at all times making him a rock.

I just save the file with the .txt name (in which folder btw?) and iirc there's a command for loading them right?
The easiest way to do bindfiles is just to create a new folder in your C: directory called "binds"
Save all your .txt bindfiles in there. Then, ingame, use the command "bindloadfile" and the path to the specific bind you want.
For example:
/bindloadfile C:\binds\defense.txt
It's as simple as that
