A good artist
Interesting, his style is sort of in-between Juggertha and Celtic Bolt. Not that I like the general tendency to categorize everybody oversimply...

I respectfully disagree. I think it borders closer to a beefed up Timm Style, check out his dark phoenix and notice the advanced anatomy on the ribcage in his version of Acoustic...
He does share Juggy's fondness of repeating poses, but the coloring is definitely more animation, no black lines... instead he uses flesh colored outlines around the face and skin, or color matching outlines for costumed parts. That's strictly an Animator's characteristic.
Here's what he has to say about his favorite artists from his profile:
"Ryan Ottley, Dave Johnson, Cory Walker, Landron, anybody cartoony and detailed at the same time!!"
No offense to to Juggy or CB, but their styles are very distinct, CB reminds me of old war time posters, he has that retro feel, and Juggertha is a forum icon.

You mean like tracing? I know Timm has a recognized style that can be easily recycled--did he reuse his own poses as templates? I've seen his stuff but I'm not that familiar with his work process.
Congratulations on the pieces Woody! That guy's a nice find.

You would have to ask Juggy directly... some people can just redraw their own work with lightning speed...
I got noted by him as well, was about to note more information when Russ's commissions opened up heh. I'll have to contact this guy when I get the chance.

I've been watching him for quite some time actually. I dig how he cranks out the pieces... and yes he does have his own style that seems... well, I'd only be repeating the blend others have mentioned on here.
Either way, I enjoy his classic take on things.

Im gonna have to get one from Russ sometime in the future, too.
Muad_dib, send a note to Russ in dA and ask him to be put on his notify list on the next time he's offering fixed price commissions. They'll go helluva fast, judging by this last round that was offered, but a notice is better than no notice that and at least you'll have a jump on when his usual non-fixed price auction right after is placed.

Lol, ya they go fast! I just checked the times in my email history; his announcement for the open slots arrived at 2:18, and all six of them were sold by 2:48.

Recently I got contacted by a fellow on DA about getting commissions. It was this fella
the first two on his front page there are of Virs Impavida and Acoustic Delusions. I still need to pay him the second half, but I'd thought I'd point him to the rest of you if you havent seen his stuff yet.
