Hi there! Those are some *nice* pieces, one and all! Very cool, I really like that portrait, simple but full of personality. And the third one is one heck of a thank you, love the colors and the effects. Congratulations on some excellent pieces of art

That's easy..... figure out which one or ones you can afford and are takin commissions and jump in their queues... NAO! lol ok not so easy.... choices are hard but there ya go.
All of them are cool pieces, and a nice way to start one's collection. The first one is a nice double shot, kinda neat that way in two different poses. Sweet portrait by Liz and that last one.... wow. It's been said already but thats one heckuva thank you gift. The effects and little details, like the broken glasses bring out the piece a bunch

EDIT: I just saw I'm at 10034...I really, truly hope my Cartel Ding was a worthwhile post. >.>

Those dates should still be valid, you can always check with the artists to be sure though.

The dates refer to when they opened up their commissions. They should be valid but checking the artists journal for current info is the best bet.

The dates are all valid. The first date you see is when they went into my journal. Then i put the date they posted their info. I am in contact with all the artists and when they have updated information they give it to me to be changed. It's all being monitored by me so you should be good to go!

I'm playing the waiting game on two more commissions, one from Spookeriffic and one from mainasha, so I'm extremely excited! Sadly, it means I'll be done commissioning for a little while, because I spent all of my 'mad money' (my monthly allowance I give myself for frivolous purchases).

Additionally, Bobby/LadyJudgement/baquitania already posted this but it wasn't here yet!
But the biggest reason I wanted to post:
I wanted to show off my latest completed commission, which really knocked my socks off. Aggelakis by mainasha. She got Agge almost perfect, and the shading just blew me away. I used this piece as a "do it like this!" starting point and asked for a more comic-y/cartoon-y shading (like "cell shading", I guess it's called?), and she did GREAT!
I HIGHLY recommend mainasha to anyone who wants to get their girls done in pinup style. She was a blast to work with.

[/ QUOTE ]She does! I debated for a few days whether Agge would look good in her style (it's a lot "softer" than everyone else I've had draw her except maybe Liz), but I think it turned out to be a great decision. It's altered my mental image of Agge, too, which isn't a terrible thing.
(Aggelakis is an original character from outside CoH that I altered to fit the CoH world. Her story is a little weird, and I don't have the writing skilz to do it justice, so she's pretty generic in CoH.)

Lol actually since you posted your first commissions I have been thinking woah, what a different design. The librarian glasses, the mousyish brown hair, and lack of slider induced pr0n breasts (not saying theres anything wrong with thos however ;p).
Its like you inverted the normal stereotype of the Super Hero [insert Playboy Bunny costume here] in need, then blending in/hiding by using the 'quiet, brainy girl', alternate identity.
Yeah, I'm proud of her design. Mostly I was meaning her backstory in-game. The original character is tied to an alternate universe that doesn't really have much at all to do with Earth. And "coming from another dimension" or "from deep outer space" are too cliche for me to use to explain her here. So her backstory in Paragon is very generic and hasn't been written yet.
(Though with regards to her "abnormal" chest size, I don't use slider induced pr0n breasts on any of my characters. I wish there were a "package" slider on males/huge, too. )

Since my piece by mainasha, I've gotten a few more:
Projectionist did this for his Advent calendar this past Christmas. I REALLY like her "don't piss me off" expression. Agge doesn't get drawn angry very much.
imagesbyalex did this for his "98 characters for 98 years" for his grandfather's birthday. I am always impressed by the sense of movement he puts in his work, even the simple sketches.
johnbecaro had a $7 sale, and I could NOT resist! I don't want to be whoever Agge is looking so peeved at.
Psygon's City of Cute version of Aggelakis! Beware, the adorableness may be too much to handle...your brain might explode into candy!
Hopefully in the next month or two, I'll scrounge up some more money for commissions. I'm jonesing, folks! The next commission might not even be of Aggelakis (gasp!)

This is my first time posting here...I kept meaning to...but I'd get distracted and forget.
My main is Aggelakis, Empathy/Archery/Power Mastery Defender, on the Justice server. She's not terribly active over there anymore outside of Hamidon Thursdays. However, she was my first hero, my first 50, and remains my favorite character ever. As such, I finally got around to commissioning a couple people for artses! (and I got one as a thank-you for sticking through a grueling Posi TF). Technically, the commissions were done a while ago and the thank-you was a couple weeks ago now, but...as previously mentioned with the distraction and the forgetting...here I go now.
The first one I got was from @kwsapphire, on the boards as [some name I forget]: here
The second one was from @Liz, on the boards as syrusb: here
The third was a thank-you from @uziel21 for sticking through a five-hour Positron Task Force with two (three?) nooblets and Uz, who had just returned to the game after a long break: here
I was just FLOORED by this one, seriously, since really I would have done that TF even without such an awesome gift in return. ("No words, should have sent a poet" was the phrase I used.)
I have been lurking this subforum for a while and have been seeing far too many artists I need to save my pennies for. There are some PHENOMENAL artists here in this game.
