question how do you demoedit words into movie

like how in gtaIV you see the credits and such on the ship as part of the floor

here is what i want to do make my title for the movie be part of the concerte or flowing down the river stuff like that

i though maybe if i put the words in "" then move them along the same pos as the water or have them set the same pos as the sidewalk.

Bzald, I think you're talking about "titles", but I'm not sure. And I think what you're trying to do is angle the text to conform to the viewing angle of a surface, like a sidewalk. Is that correct?

If so, we'll need to know what video editing software you're using. Some editing software has very nice titling capabilities. Others. not so much.

Never played GTA4 but I think what you are asking is impossible. The only words you can make pop up that show in demo playback are chat bubbles.

Edit: and those little floating text messages like "critical" and "overpower"

yes Star_Dancer that is what im aiming for, i have yet to pick a editor because im not sure it can be done so before i begain the project i figure i ask some question.

find a demo editor that would best suit my needs and then procede from there any sugestions?

Bzald, Zloth is right - you can't accomplish what you want purely from editing a CoH demorecording.

You can accomplish it if you make a video from that playback and overlay the titles on the video. That's why I asked what VIDEO editing software you are using (not the DEMO editing software).

OK, it occurred to me that my explanation was less informative than I intended. Here's the steps (in broad terms) to producing the effect you want:

1 - Record your in-game scene using the /demorecord command.
2 - Edit the demorecording to suit your needs using either Zloth's or Balshor's excellent (and free!) demorecording utilities.
3 - Playback the demorecording and record it as a video (.mpg) using FRAPS (or something similar).
4 - Edit the MPG video with an editor that can overlay titles that are rotated in 3 dimensions (Dunno which ones will do that. Video Studio won't)

Hopefully that gives you a better idea what is involved.

k im on step three as of now that where i was stuck at beside the fact that im stuck on two (im a little new too the whole look through 3000 lines of editing software) so im working on two on my way too three.
