Funny that, I'm also waiting on Famine. Where is Sovs?

I JUST said I was waiting for Soviet.
((oh ok))
((I enjoyed that fight between Raiden and Gabriellia, it was action. I am sure they will come across each other again.))
Alyssa almost jumped out of her seat as a thrown grenade exploded against the cage wall in front of her. Though she was perfectly safe thanks to the arena's shields it still startled her. She looked down at the combatants to see who threw it, and immediately saw who as another explosive detonated in the corner of the cage. "Hey! You with the grenades, work on your aim!", she yelled down at them. Whether they could actually hear her in there she didn't know and didn't particularly care as she got up and floated over to the bar to get another beer.
[Admin] Emperor Marcus Cole: STOP!
[Admin] Emperor Marcus Cole: WAIT ONE SECOND!
[Admin] Emperor Marcus Cole: WHAT IS A SEAGULL DOING ON MY THRONE!?!?
Jake couldn't detect anything unusual with his goggles. His thrown web grenade spilled out everywhere into the small private cargo room, but illusionists and the like could usually fly these days.
And then, Jake's goggles caught something! Somebody was standing right at the corner of his vision, just enough to be rendered featureless in Jake's current view-point. His goggles also picked it up. The thermal setting detected no heat. It detected a LACK of it. Whoever was standing there was a super-chilly zero degrees kelvin, but that couldn't be right because then Jake would have felt and, and well...Absolute zero tends to spread, but this didn't.
The light sensors of his bots informed him that a patch of light had been replaced by a sudden ABSENCE of light, and that no light was passing through said space. It was bouncing off of it.
More simply put, somebody was standing in the corner of Jake's vision.

"Ahahaha-Wait, my brother attacked you?" White Masque said in response to John's declaration of innocense. "He didn't even leave a mark! I'll have to have a talk with him."
The Masque's arm was already out of the elevator, the door having automatically opened a few moments after being blocked.
"But anyways...You're a funny guy, John. ^.^" White Masque said hapily. "Would you like to come to the Masquerade Ball in hall 18 happening tommorow night? You'd be a hit there. They'd love you metaphorically, not literally. Also, have you seen my teddy bear?"
Jake swiveled his head like an office chair, giving a command for his 'bots to be ready for combat. Seeing that the humanoid was a cold black void, he made the obvious conclusion that he wasn' simply a lost tourist or crew member, and, given his earlier battle, he put two and two together.
Of course, whether or not it made five or four was yet to be seen.
"Who're you, and why're you down here?" He stated as calmly as one could hope to be in a situation such as this, a mask of curiosity on his face and his hands in his pockets.

Raiden
Raiden jumped in front of the sound wave to protect David and Odette. "AHHH!!" He screamed with great pain as the sound wave ripped through his body launching him into the railing. He stood up revealing that he was indeed a Regen. His wounds were closing up rapidly, but the damage was done. Raiden was exhausted and his enemy had escaped. He turned to David. "Take of her. I am going to try to chase after the other one and find out what the hell is going on." And with that Raiden disappeared to the shadows once more.

Gabriella reappears in front of the outside entrance to the luxury suites. She walks through the hallway holding her left arm. It was covered in scratches and cuts from Raiden's burning cuts technique so she does her best not to attract unwanted attention to herself. Upon reaching her room, Gabriella's hand trembles as she unlocks her door. As soon as she steps into the room, she makes her way to a vanity in the bedroom. She sits on the chair and fumbles through the top drawer until her hand reaches a gilded Venetian eyemask. She takes a deep breath and puts it on.
Gabriella's body goes limp and in her mind's eye she is brought to a grand ballroom warmly lit by a single chandelier. A single throne sits in the middle of the room, facing away from Gabriella.
A voice coming from the chair echoes on the marble in the room, I asked that you not bother me Aria
My queen, its La Fleur ((Odette)) she has been taken by two heroes, she is badly injured and worse yet, her spirit is weak. Gabriella bows slightly wearing a magnificent French gown with a gold ribbon trim.
And this is reason to bother me why?
She could compromise everything she we are doing here! Something must be done!
you will not tell me what must be done. Now, what where you doing when this happened.
I knew that new girl wouldn't keep her mouth shut so i tried to dispose of her but-
HOW DARE YOU! The Warmth in the ballroom vanishes and a darkness is cast upon the two, YOU DISRESPECT ONE OF YOUR OWN AND STILL YOU STAND BEFORE ME!? a chilling breeze hits Gabriella and strips her beautiful gown to nothing more than dirty rags.
Please...my queen Gabriella falls to her knees defeated, clinging to the rags around her body in the cold.
I WILL FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO DEAL WITH THIS! YOU WILL FOLLOW OUR PLANS AND NOT INTERFEARE WITH HER ANYMORE The throne glows a frightening reddish purple as the darkness closes in on Gabriella if you fail me again, this hell will become a reality A steel cage falls fro the darkness on top of Gabriella and in real life, a tear falls from underneath the mask.
((sorry Spade the respose to Odette related actions is coming trying to respond at work so it will be on later today but heres what i got for now))
((Hey, just a quick note to let everyone know I'm still here. I'm gonna let the arena fight progress a little before posting. ))

Talisman
David slung Odette over his shoulder and sped off. Raiden should be able to take of himself for right now. I need to heal her and myself. I hope she has the answers to this... David took her back to his room where he laid her down on his bed. "I hope this helps." David cast a minor healing spell (Medicine Power Set) and waiting to see if would help her.

Odette stirs and then opens her eyes slowly. She looks up at David with her lovely green eyes and whispers softly, My knight
Im so sorry she wipes a small bit of blood off of her face and then lets her hand go limp at her side as she attempts to sit up. She winces in pain as she lifts her body into a sitting position. youre a good man David, thats why I need to be honest with you Odette breaks eye contact and looks at the floor in shame, I am a Lieutenant in Longbow
.and I have been a double agent for 6 years now. I work for a group of Women known as the Twilight Masquerade and their leader uses many of my past mistakes as blackmail to keep me in her organization. Odettes eyes begin to well up again and looking back up at David she says with fear and despair in her eyes, She made me kill, steal and lie and somehow I always followed it. Odette wipes the tears from her face, She is an A-Class Telepath and Telekinetic but she has never used her abilities to make me do things
She is a master in persuasion and she always knows exactly what to say. Becoming a bit more Hysterical, SIX YEARS DAVID! Odette puts her face in her hands, I dont know what to do Odette sobs softly on Davids bed, completely drained of all the vivacious joy that she showed so much of earlier in the evening.

David suddenly hugs Odette. He whispers in her ear, "It's okay... I understand your pain. You want to know why I am so lucky?" David winces as he brings up the memory. "During the first Rikti War... in the initial attack, myself and my friends were buried alive in the ruins of an office building... they all died, except for me... For some reason I lived and they died..., and ever since that day I have had a mysterious amount of good luck, it's as if karma was trying to pay back a due it could never pay off..." David hugged her tighter as a single tear rolled down his cheek. "We will find a way to stop her. I will help you, I promise."
'I sleep, perchance to dream. How vaguely poetic this condition is. Needing no form of sustanance other than sleep, of which I require almost triple that of Humans. Silly creatures with their organized calender built around their pathetically short life-spans. 24-hour days are barely enough to fufill the needs of my weary form.
I will have to change that. Things would be much more convenient if days were 72 hours long. At the very least, I have the comfort of knowing that all of my creations have at this point be unleashed. Running about and stirring up trouble in my stead. And so, while they toil I slumber.
...
How funny memory can be. I just now remember that the illusionist's quarters are right next to my own. How dreadful. I must rectify this situation before I may rest easy.'

A very disgruntled and tired looking Mr. Erik, the very generic rich accountant, stumbled out of his room. He was the very definition of weariness-Sagging eyes, hunched back, heavy and forced footsteps. But there was something just a little odd about him. Something about the way he moved-it wasn't proportionate to his steps. The distance he moved his legs sometimes didn't even equal half of what he covered. It was like he had an invisible glider on his back. Even more disturbing was that his feet weren't actually touching the ground. Only a sharp-eyed person would have noticed this, only to be even more perplexed when they realized Mr. Erik's feet still made noise whenever they 'touched' or not so much down on the ground.
So it was very fortunate for him that most of the casual passengers were all vain dolts. Mr. Erik looked down either end of the hall with a slightly puzzled and immensely tired expression on his face, as if he was having trouble even remembering where he was. After a moments deliberation, he turned to the room that happened to be right next to his own.
Room No. 5256.
Odette's room...
And then Mr. Erik vanished, reappearing on the other side of the door.

Jake saw a shadow of a man standing before him. It could have accurately been compared to a dark servant minus the somber glowing eyes. The moment Jake was looking completely at it, he felt the world slow down so he could feel a second ticking by as if it were a million years. Metaphorically of course.
The thing before him was a terror-inducing fiend, a spectral one at that. It was trying to reduce him to a gibbering heap on the floor. Rather than using frightening images, it as taking the more unconventional but more practical route of attempting to flip Jake's internal 'fear switch' that controlled his flight or fight instinct.

((Paradigm, I'm just gonna point out the only real special quality about the room))
The room is a pretty standard luxury suite with all the amenities one would expect in this expensive of a room. The only thing that seems odd is that a seemingly out-of-place vanity sits in the corner of the bedroom. Because of its placement and its design, it is obvious it is out of place.
Jake stopped mid-step, a chill suddenly running up his spine. What had just happened? It seemed as if this being, which really didn't look too terribly frightening in the first place, had just become some freakish combination of Frankenstein, Wolfman, and Mr. Hyde, topped off with a background of a misty full moon, lightening strikes, and dead trees. He shivered, quite noticibly, at that, and took a step back, his hands instinctively going in front of him in a hesitant, quivering motion.
Wait! A voice of reason called out to him, a flashback of his fight with the dark mechanoid resonating through his head. It's the same technique!
Despite his still quivering form, he smirked, his knowig mind somewhat overriding the void's manuever.
"Right, n- nice try." His voice still shook, but it still managed to have a cocky ring. "I've b- been up against you- your t- t- type before."
On a silent hand motion, each of his 'bots began charging their plasma blasters, each one of them training their light sensors on the empty space.
"N- Now answer in th- the next three seconds, or y- you d- d- d- die."
The shadow man stood completely motionless. Jake might have experienced this form of fear inducement before, but he had forgotten that even the most mediocure illusionists made sure that their conjured spectral horrors couldn't be dispelled. Different people used different methods. This spectral terror, for example, was just an absolute and perfect absence of light. Plasma blasts would not rectify that.
When encountering spectral terrors, the common course of action was to get out of range if it was stationary or outrun the thing if it was mobile. Because while some people could resist the initial effects of being attacked by a terror, said terrors also had a small area of control that magnified their sole ability when it was being used on anybody within that area. A cloak of fear, one could say.
And Jake was still inside it. The shadow man stabbed at his instincts again, while another more subtle attack came from everywhere around Jake, pressing upon every inch of his body giving the impression of drowning or being buried alive amongst a sea of horror that preyed on the mind.

Mr. Erik cast a glance across Odette's room in a tired way.
'It's exactly the same as my own quarters. They call this luxery? I see nought except for monotony. It looks like the tragically conflicted manequin is out right now, so why do I sense...?
Ah. Now that is a lovely sight. I must remind Ether to not murder the designer of these rooms after all.
He has done me a great favor for which I am thankful. A mirror with a scope that covers the entire room. I can use this.'
Mr. Erik drift-walked over to the Vanity and was just about to place a hand on the surface of the mirror itself when he froze. He looked down at the surface and frowned. Then he snarled. He reached down and began pulling open each drawer of the vanity, one at a time. Looking for something.
"Very interesting." Acid remarked with a nod, several seconds after the battle below had dissolved once more. He turned to Hotaka, "Think it's got anything to do with that crate of yours?"
The towering man replied with but a shrug, adding a curt, "Do you?"
"Nah. But show it to me anyway, would ya?"
"Of course." Hotaka merely smiled, extending a hand to the hallway that led inside, "We walk?"
"We walk..."

Makeup and haircombs rattle in the drawers but something much bigger slides to the front covered in red velvet. Only a small edge of the actual object can be seen, lined with a gold paint over a white porcelain.
To any one with any kind of otherworldly perception, one would also notice that it gives off a strange aura as if it conveys an emotion humans havn't defined yet.

David laughed when she mentioned his own mortality, "I have been just kind of gliding through the last few years, guided by anger and vengeance for my friends. Never really had much to fight for. This queen of yours may try to kill me, and if she does... than so be it, but I will make sure that I drag her kicking and screaming to the gates of hell with me." Talisman held Odette tight. He touched his hand to her injured arm, a green glow came from it healing some of her wounds. (Medicine Power Set.) "I am sorry for injuring you..." He said as his voice trailed off.

David was slightly surprised when she kissed him. He just went with it, for some reason it felt right. He noted her embarrassment and put his hand over hers. "Raiden will be just fine, that guy is something else... never met anyone quite like him. Comes and goes like a shadow he does." His mind drifted back to her. "It's okay... about the kiss and all. If it makes you feel any better, I have not dated anyone in the last four years since the Rikti War."
((Right.))
As soon as Famine saw the grenade come over the barricade, his jumppack ignited. With the intense rapid explosions of a Pulse Detonation Engine, Famine shot over the barrier and away from the grenades, firing his TMPs down into Gunner as he did so. Not stopping to see what had happened there, Famine cut his engines to land comfortably behind the rapidly closing portal. Reloading and then holstering the TMPs quickly, Famine pulled out an M72 LAW, or Lightweight Antitank Weapon. As the rift closed, Famine fired it through the rapidly dissipating energies, the rocket a bolt of lightning from a distant god.
((Yeah, I know it was a lame post after a long wait. I blame medication.))

Odette holds Davids hand tighter and the look on her face looks distressed, how can you even trust me David!? I tried to kill you out of cold blood on a whim! Odette thinks of letting go but she cant bring herself to actually do it. Im surprised you can share these wonderful things with me after what Ive done. She looks away and her hand begins to shake a bit, would you believe that killing you was my initiation into the masquerade as a full member
I am a terrible person David
Odette was telling the truth, before the boat even left port; she was given a task by her headmistress to kill at least one Meta passenger after charming and seducing him. It was a sick rite of initiation but Odette accepted none the less.
