My first real sketch of The Rose Bandit, my toon

This is my first real sketch of my character, The Rose Bandit. I know theres alot wrong with it, but I'm a beginner...Please forgive! Also, comments are appreciated!

Its not bad at all for beginner skills. I hope you don't mind but I re sketched it so i could give you some pointers. As you see I didn't change it too much. To me it seems like the head was a tad bit too wide for the body, since this toon I think is a young teen or kid i only made it around 5 heads tall instead of 9 or 8 for an adult. I also thinned and angeled the arms and waist to give her more shape. Also by making the skirt kinda circle up it gives her more shape. Don't worry about hands and or feet they are a pain it gets a bit better with time or you learn how to hide your flaws like i do with them.
