Fan Videos

Hmmm.... categories.... that really would help. We've got gameplay videos, stories, music videos, music videos with heavy storytelling (Night Prayers from Vertical, for instance), and now some instructional videos. Somebody looking to watch one kind isn't going to be so happy bumping into another. Putting categories in definitely sounds good!

How about...

Teasers/Trailers/Commercials
Music Videos (I know it's broad, but I don't know how else to differentiate between, say, "Time to Start" and "Night Prayers")
Game Play
Instructional
Stories
Humour (like the "Big Orange Head", for example)

The only drawback to that may be that creator's videos wouldn't be all together, in case some wanted to want all their stuff. I guess we could list them in more than one place, but I'm not so sure that's the thing to do, either.

Maybe if you just put a quick note behind the link? So something like:

Tezzlah's Day In Bricktown (gameplay video)

Well, we could get in the habit of stating what type of video it is so people can tell... ie, "Night Prayers" (music video)

So basically keep it categorized by the creator, but add a "type" tag to the end? That could work, as well.

Would this be a good place to post the highlight video for my character I posted around i4 or so, or would that not fit within the sort of content that's being put into this thread?

That makes sense, speaking of which I got one (not really a video of gameplay) a short I thew together while learning to code MOV & FX to a model. Not even in video form yet but if anyone is interested ......

I think you're more than welcome to put character-specific videos here - there are a few like that on the list already.

It's covered in the "and many more" from the Abyss family. You've got a link to their website which has higher quality versions.

Classic? It's still my favorite video of all time! (Well, except maybe All Star, but that's only cuz it has all my heroes in it. )

Ok then, here's my submission to the list. It's the youtube version of the higher-quality one I posted on the boards a while ago. If anyone wants the higher-quality one I can post it, but I imagine the youtube's enough.

Video features things such as Babbage, the Hydra, several pretorians. During filming some interesting thigns to the game were introduced, such as arenas and the body-sliders. My first arena match is featured in there.

That'd be one of Ashcraft's videos, and I think you're right, I don't see it in this thread . I see a couple of his other videos under miscellaneous but I guess he's not special enough for his own heading .

I make NSFW videos, they make sure I don't get out of the box.

Actually, the real reson is I did a quick scan through the 'Misc' ones before I posted it last, looking for any with three or more, and there were only two of your there. Another one should put you over the top.

Edit: I'm editing the list now, so post links to anything new you all would like to see added.

I'm also adding some category text at the end of each line - if you can help categorize yours, it would be much appreciated. I'm doing: Teaser/Trailer, Music Video, Story, Instructional, Humor, and Gameplay (for now).
