The problem with the Metallic Tights is, they're... too smooth. So I agree, it's a bit modern.
Perhaps if you went with something a bit more industrial-looking, such as Tech Banded or Tech Smooth (=vet reward 'anime' armor)... you'd still get good results from the white/gold scheme.

Actually, if you use the Tights - Sleek in Black, then overlayed the Mesh pattern in Silver...

If you have the Samurai armor available you can also monotone one of them out to look a bit like a breastplate to go over your chainmail. Toss on the Gladiator shoulders and a kilt and presto chango you've got yourself a pretty nifty costume.
If you don't have Samurai or Kilt...well, then I dunno what to tell you.

Thats a good idea Frosty, but I've only got 9 months of vet rewards. Kilt but no samarai armour.

Coles Notes version of his backstory:
Cable TV weatherman Bill Burnham is totally incompetent. Decides if he can't predict weather he'll just control it instead. Studies magic, discovers he has a knack for it and decides to become an adventurer using the name Weatherby Goode. Eventually he settles down, gets married, raises a family and retires from active duty.
The Rikti war prompted him to "put on the cape" once more and he is approached by the Legacy Chain to help with relief measures. After the war he takes a job at PCU (Salamanca Campus) where he can monitor the magic goings on in the zone. Recently he has left PCU for a teaching position at the Grae Academy (part of the Paragonian Knights coalition).
He is 40 years old, is married, has two teenaged twins, and used to enjoy leisurely walks in Perez parch.

Hello denizens of the art forum, I come before you with a problem. My Earth/Storm Controller, Weatherby Goode, Hit 30 last night. That means Auras and another Costume slot. Now that he's 30 I'm supposed to make him an official costume for his SG (The Paragonian Knights). Unfortunately, This is what it looks like. Its far too modern for Weatherby.
So I was hoping that I could get some help constructing an older looking knight costume. It must use the same colour scheme and show the SG logo on the front. Everything else I'm open to changing.
