Lady Grey On a Dollar a Day Update 1-16 New Strats

After my 43rd run of the Lady Grey Task Force this last weekend, I decided it was time to update my Lady Grey Task Force Guide. My SG can run this TF in less than two hours and maximize the Infamy/Influence, and get more of them run in one game session. The most we have run is 6 in one day.

This is for –ANY- makeup of team, by the way, and any levels. The Lady Grey TF is still currently bugged, and if you have 45-50’s in the group, they can SK anyone at all that get in the RWZ. Always easier when the team makeup includes at least 4 lvl 50s, in addition to any lowbies to sk/lk up.

*note, these methods require only one thing! Stealth of some sort, and TP friend, on the same character! And the Hamidon Mission strats require TP Foe!*

Mission One: The Seer
Mission Time to complete: 5-15min
Requirements: Stealth, Invisibility, ShadowFall + TP Friend

All characters in the group will enter the mission. The stealth character will then proceed to run down the hall, through the first door. Cut right, then enter the room that has 4 exits, go STRAIGHT across from the area you entered. Keep going until you get to the end of the mission. You will see a long hallway, that cuts to the left, then immediately cuts right into a large room with a portal. TP the group to the hallway, then fun ensues. Take out the mobs and the portal generators in the room. This will rescue Penny Yin, the useless little psychic girl who is in love with the Clockwork King. You will receive a Cut Scene of the Clock King, and then Penny goes into a long-winded monologue. Once she is tied to a character as a follower, the group is busy with the Ambush of clocks, the person who has Penny should lead her into the hall, and down to the next room. Penny will attack the Rikti there, and proceed to get herself killed. This will fail the mission, but not the task force. You will receive end mission XP, and go on to the next mission.

Mission Two: The Horseman Four
Mission time to complete: 20-30 min
Required: Stealth, Invisibility, Shadowfall + TP Friend

All enter mission. Stealth to the first rider room, Always remember, Rikti Drones can see through Shadow Fall, and Stealth, but Invisibility they can’t see through all the time, depends on how fast your moving. Super Speed, or Speed Boost usually will take care of this. TP the whole group to the left hand side of the room, across from the rider - War. Once the group is buffed and ready, the Stealth/TPer stands back and does nothing. The group takes War out. This will open the doorway to be clicked on, and the Stealth/TPer can continue on to the next room.

Once in the next room, he will repeat the previous steps, go all the way to the end of the room, and to the right, there is a small hallway there. TP the team to the small hallway. and take our Famine first, the War this time, as Famine saps endurance. Once the mob is down, you can now click on the door, for the next room.

In the third room, go in and all the way to the left. There is an area near the pumping unit, you can TP all the team there. This room can get tricky. Take the mobs at the room entrance out first along with the mob(s) across from the Riders. Try not to agro the riders until your ready, or you will end up with a team wipe, or close to it. This will give you running room. In this rider mob, take the riders out in this order, if you can: Pestilence --> Famine --> War. Once the mobs are down, the next door can be clicked on.

The last riders are in a large room at the end of a hallway. The stealth/TPer will stop in the hallway where it seems there is an archway. The team TPs to here. Have a blaster/corruptor snipe the riders in this order if you can, or any order if they are bunched together. Death --> Pestilence --> Famine --> War. Once the riders are down, clear the last room, usually if the mob the riders were in is cleared, they are usually on the left of the room. The mission is over, we have found sometimes the mob spreads a little, and we have to clear the room.

Mission Three: The Dragon
Mission Time to complete: 10-15 min
Requirements: None special

We used to fight all the way through this mission. But we have found a new strategy. Enter the mission, and fight until you see either Glacia or Infernia. These are two of the hostage you must rescue and lead back to the entrance. Once you rescue the first one, she will go into a 3-4 minute long speech. This is so the 2-3 waves of ambushes can get to you. Take the ambushes down until she is locked as a follower. Here is a Penny Yin move. Lead her to the next mob of Rikti and get her killed. Then fight through to the next floor. Find the other one, usually she is down the hole in the floor in first big room. Rinse and repeat the steps you did to free the first hostage, and she will go into a 2-3 minute monologue also, while the ambushes run at you full force. Once she is locked as a follower, once again lead her into a mob and get her killed. This will fail the mission just like the first mission. End mission XP, and continue on to Hamidon!

Mission Four: The Beast and the Sea
Mission Time to complete: varies, usually 20-30 min
Requirements: Melee damage very helpful, TP Foe for Alternate Strat

STRAT ONE -----
Agro and pull the Rikti away from the first pylon. Take this mob of Rikti out and then move to the second pylon. Note—DO NOT TAKE THE PYLONS OUT AT THIS POINT, this comes later. Once you have defeated all the Rikti around all 6 Pylons, you move onto the Mitochondria’s. These are the Yellow, Green, and Blue balls floating inside Hamidon.

Have a Brute/Tank/Scrapper/Stalker who has Fly or Jump, or Inertial Reducted from a SB’er go after the Yellows first. This is very important. The yellow Mitos are Hami’s attack system. They will take the whole group down in 2-3 shots if you are not careful. Once you take one yellow down, move to the next one. The pylons you left up seems to keep Hami’s attention. He will not agro, unless you get near him, or some MasterMind pets are not controlled well. Once all the Yellows are down, move on to the next part.

Usually we take out the Greens next. Greens are Hami’s Healing system. They keep the Blues and Yellows healed as you damage them. Once all the greens are down, move on the blues in the same fashion. They will go down pretty quick at this point.

Once all the Mitos are down, move on to the pylons, You will have no opposition at this point, so just have fun, take them all 6 out. Then move to Hami. Have melee agro him. Remember, Hami hits hard. So any squishy character should not be in melee range of Hami during this time. Usually he goes down in about 2-3 minutes. It helps to DeBuff him with anything you have. We use Dark DeBuffs and Fulcrum Shifts. But I have done it without both, and the effects are still the same. Quick Death, if you all lay into him.

STRAT TWO----
Requirements – TP FOE

All the beginning is the same as Strat One, until you get to the Mitos.

Have the TP Foe character go to the edge of Hami, and target a Blue Mito. The group will gather around the TP Foe character. At this point you will TP Foe the Mito out of Hami to the group, and take it down. YOU CANNOT TP FOE the Yellow Mitos, it does not work. And sometimes if the mission is set above the minimum setting (Heroic or Villianous) We have found the TP Foeing to work or not work, depending on the mission holder setting. But in all instance, the Yellows are never TP’d.

Repeat this for all Blue and Green Mitos. Then revert back to Strat One for the Yellow Mitos. And the points from the destruction of the Pylons and further with Hamidon.

Mission Five: Apocalypse
Mission Time to complete: 15-20 min
Requirements: Stealth, Invisibility, Shadowfall + TP Friend

All enter mission and stay on the first floor, except the Stealth/TPer. This person will go all the way to the end of the mission, where the hallway forms an 'L' before the last room, he will TP the entire group to this 'L'. Clear the mob behind you first, then taunt/snipe the mobs just inside the doorway into the hall and clear them, it makes this faster and easier.

Now you can see Hro'Dtohz just inside the waves of Rikti, and he is easy to get. Fly to the ceiling cap, using fly, hover, or jetpacks, if you can, if no one has fly, you will have to use a very long snipe. This is how I do it on with My Corruptor, MM, or Blaster, depending on who in the group has Snipe or the Temp Powers of Blackwand or Nemesis Staff. IF no one has these, it makes it harder. But usually someone has something:

Fly using Jetpack (hover or Fly), to the ceiling cap. Come down just enough to get in range of hitting Hro'Dtohz with my Snipe (Nem Staff, Blackwand, etc.) and hit him once. Then immediately fly back into the hallway and around the corner. If done correctly, he will come BY HIMSELF!

Once Hro'Dtohz is in the hallway, just take him down as you know how. he will go rather quick. At about 25-40% health, you will get the cut-scene of Hero 1 arriving. Ignore this for now, just finish this Rikti Sum-****** off.

Once he is down, heal up, buff up, and the sniper can do phase two.

Fly to the ceiling cap again, and repeat the steps to draw Hro'Dtohz, but this time target Hero 1. Beware!!!!!! Hero 1 can fly, and he will fly after you, get back to the hallway pronto! Once there, Hero 1 will be in tow, take him down. He is a little tougher than Rikti-boy, as he tends to use MOG (Moment of Glory) but he goes down easy, like a Japanese School Girl on a subway (sorry had to say it! LOL).

Now the two are down, and theres a room with lots and lots of Rikti left. You don't have to clear the room, just take the generators out. BEWARE!!!!!!! Each time you kill a generator, an ambush will come from the back hallway! We usually send a flying brute/tank, or a scrapper with fly, in to kill the Gens alone if they can survive. While the group deals with the agro from the ambushes. Once all four Gens are down, Bob's yer uncle, you get the screen for reward choices, and here's to hoping your rare recipe sells for 25mil!!!!

Once everyone exits the mission, call Lady Grey, and the team will disband. If you are being nice, go back to the base, and TP the team before you call her, that way you don't leave the lowbies (if you have some) out in Rikti-land without a LK/SK. Once done, you should have spent approx anywhere from 1hr 45min to 2hr 30min in the TF, with the occasional downtime between missions. Start a new team, and rinse and repeat guys.

Conclusions
I have found the average to be true in one run on my 50 MM of the following, NOTE – This is an AVERAGE, do not mistake this for each and every run:

Infamy gained from kills: 500K-1.8mil AVG
Infamy gained from selling Salvage: 600K – 900K AVG
Infamy gained from selling Recipe Drops: varies widely, as little as 300K to as much as 17mil
Infamy gained from selling Rare Recipe: varies by the recipe you get, if all members of the group are 50, no Lackeys/Sidekicks, you have a better chance at a purple recipe.
*Note- not always will you get a good one, one day I got one that only sold for 10,000*
Merits earned from Rikti Kills: 80-250 AVG

Considering you do this at least twice in one gaming session, not bad spoils for very little work.

Enjoy guys, and your always welcome on my LG teams!

The average team My SG runs this TF with consists of the following:

TechSpider – 50 Dark/Dark Mastermind
Knight Winds – 50 Eng/Eng Brute
Marquis Epitath – 41 Stone/Dark Brute
Demi Gawdess – 39 Fire/Kin Corruptor
+ 4 Members as Pick Ups
or the occasional members who aren’t with us always:
My Alts
Kinetic Kitten – 50 Eng/Eng Blaster (Same account as Tech)
Demonica Jasmine – 41 Fire/Fire Dominator (Same account as Tech)
Lady Athyna – 50 Controller
Debt Giver – 50 Brute

Along with others the SG might bring.

My testing says you can't defeat Hero 1 without some form of -regen. He heals back to full during his ridiculous version of Unstoppable unless you apply -regen. Even -res is useless since he has 100% damage resistance against most forms of attack.

He does still take damage from negative energy so it may be theoretically possible to stack the team with dark melee scrappers and dark blast defenders, but it hardly seems more attractive than just finding some -regen.

I've always avoided this TF to be honest because of the Hami encounter and the length of time it takes, but after reading your strategy it really has me curious to try it out. As for the tp foe strategy, I'm curious how I should slot tp foe to get the blue and green mitos to be able to be tped?

Great guide that you've made Kinectic_Kitten!

Not true, lackeys/sidekicks have no effect on purple drop rates. Only the level of enemy matters. Any enemy 47+ can drop a purple to any member of your team.

I have done this TF without TechSpider and his Dark Debuffs, and we had no debuffs from the dark set in this team makeup, and we still took him down no problem. But 80% of the times I have done this, I have had TechSpider had Darkest Night on him. This is only a - Accuracy - Damage Debuff. And when I have pulled the Dark Servant out, the only debuffs he throws are -DMG, -ACC, Foe Immobilize. So we have never, to my knowledge, had a -Regen on him, and still take him down.

The only enhancements you can put into TP Foe are Interrupt time, End cost, Range, and Attack rate. I must have been on crack that night I wrote this guide, LOL. It doesn't matter how you slot it. I must be a matter of the Foe levels of the missions, whether your on Relentless or Villinous. We will try it this weekend on Relentless and see If I can TP the mitos.

Thanks for bringing this question up.

Twilight Grasp is -regen, which Dark Servant also throws. So if you had a dark/ defender on the team I can almost guarantee you were applying -regen.

As far as the other teams you've had, I would have to know the full roster to say for sure that there was no -regen in it anywhere.

Twilight Grasp has -regen. I believe this includes Dark Servant's Twilight Grasp. It makes a huge difference when fighting giant monsters and archvillains.

Asloc - Hero group on Champion

No it doesn't. The little known fact is that -regen is almost useless in the vast majority of AV fights. They simply don't regen enough; however, they do pack upwards of 80% resistance to -regen effects, making that piddly 50% -regen a mere 10%.

Doom.

Yep.

This is really doom.

Yup, its true. Check it out here.

Also, someone said that the -res does nothing. I would have to disagree, since you will notice -Resistance isnt mentioned in the Paragonwiki article, I would think having -res to bring down his God Mode would be much better than the highly resisted -regen.

This is not the vast majority of AV fights; this is Hero 1 who activates a power that makes him completely invulnerable to most forms of damage (negen being the only exception I know of, and even that is resisted at 90% or so). +dmg and -res have no effect if your damage type is 100% resisted.

(Damage resistance) resists (damage resistance debuff). If you're hitting for zero before -res is applied, you'll still be hitting for zero afterwards. So -res is indeed useless in this particular circumstance.

TP FOE for this is nice when triple slotted for accuracy and 1 range booster, in lieu of 3 accuracy slots then have 2 Accuracy, 1 range and some nicely stacked IO bonuses to your accuracy.

Also if you have a Dominator with the power; Wormhole, that power works much better at times then TP Foe.

Also if you are really lucky you can Wormhole/TpFoe Hami itself out of the blob of goo, however I've only seen this done twice and do not know how the power was slotted since it wasn't my toon that did it.

Just ran the LGTF again today, we started with a team of 8 and ended the missions with a team of 5 (1 un-SK'd and useless)

The final team, through mission Hami and the Bosses was as follows:

TechSpider - 50 MM - Robotics/Dark
Captain Ruffles - 50 Scrapper - Katana/Super Reflexes
Blue Knight Wind - 40 Scrapper - Dual Blade/Willpower
Cinder Kitten - 40 Controller - Fire/Kinetics
Demi Gawdess - 41 Corruptor - Fire/Kinetics (un-sk'd and uselesss cept for a SB)

We Tp'd all the mitos out of hami, and then the scrappers took down the yellows, then we took hami down with only the 4 of us, NO DEATHS.

We stealthed the last mish, tp'd to the hallway, pulled Hro-Dhotz by himself, with the snipe from Demi Gawdess, and mind you, I sniped and pulled as a 41, she was not SK'd. The foes were 51. We took him down in about 4 minutes.

We managed to pull Hero One alone also, and as soon as he was in the hallway, I applied the following to him:
Tar Patch ( Tarrgeted AOE -Speed -Resistance -fly)
Twilight Grasp (Ranged Foe - Acc Foe - Dmg Team Heal)
Darkest Night (Ranged Targeted AOE Foe -DMG -ACC)
and Dark Servant who casts
Chill of the Night (PBAoE Foe -ACC)
Twilight Grasp (Ranged Foe -ACC -DMG)
Petrifying Gaze (Ranged Hold)
Darkest Night (Targetd AOE Foe -DMG)
Tenebrous Tentacles (Foe Immobilize -ACC)
The level 40 DB/WP was tanking him the whole time through the agro from his taunt built into his armors.

We took him down in about 5 minutes, then the scrappers took down the generators.

The numbers from this TF are as follows as averaged from Demi Gawdess, TechSpider and Blue Knight Wind, as these are all SG members of mine, so we could track the drops and infamy/influence gains.

Avg Infamy/Influence gained from missions:
400k least - 3mil most
Avg Infamy/Influence gained from selling salvage drops:
100k least to 1.5mil most
Avg Infamy/Influence gained from selling recipes:
500k least to 4.5mil most

Demi Gawdess got 5 recipe drops, 1 rare worth 2.5mil
Blue Knight Wind got 5 recipe drops, 1 rare worth 2.5mil
TechSpider got 14 recipe drops, 1 rare worth 500k

Techspider got 18 salvage drops, nothing worth more than 100k
Blue Knight Wind got 10, most expensive worth 7k
Demi Gawdess got 5 salvage drops, most expensive worth 1.25mil

The numbers are averaged from one run. because the team dropped down to 5, we didnt keep track of time. But all in all, doing missions 1-3 (halfway through) with 8, then dropping to 5 for the second half of mission 3 and through to last mission, we finshed in about 3.5 hours.

50 MM Sidekicking a 40 Controller
50 Scrapper Sidekicking a 40 Scrapper
41 Corruptor unsidekicked

We beat it! You don't need tanks/brutes if you have a MM!

Congrats to Captain Ruffles, and Cinder Kitten for the help and the guts to stay and try to finish the whole thing!!!!

Other tricks:

If you have 2 players with deceive/confuse, then apply it to Famine, Famine will then drain the END of the other riders and the Rikti guards, then, attack.

If you have enough Doms/Controllers, you can hold the Honoree and he won't use his God Mode power: 2 minute fight.

If the Honoree does use a God Mode power and becomes 100% resistant to Smashing/Lethal, make sure you know which teammates have non-S/L attacks and buff them. Throw the Fort on the Dark Defender rather than the Broadsword. If you got the Vet Rewards that do Negative Engergy or other useful temp powers, use them. Don't forget that Vengeance is a great Damage buff... time for a 50 to take a fall...

The Rikti and the Mitos con as foes to each other. If you can convince a Rikti guarding a pylon to get too close to a Yellow, he'll get blasted, and then the Rikti team is agro'd onto the Mito. In the end, the Mitos win. You can fly over a Mito and TP foe a Rikti to drop on it. Or use whatever method you like to pull a Rikit into the goo. Or, you can try to use TP Foe to drop the Mito onto the Rikti spawn, let them agro each other, then come in and finish off the winner.

When I run the LGTF with my stoner I tell the rest of the team to stay back, run to a pylon, taunt/herd the rikti around it to chase me and lead them all into Hami, once Hami start s blasting, I TP out of there and let the Rikti and Hami slug it out.

End Result: Rikti quickly wiped by Hami and sometimes if lucky one or 2 of the mitos are destroyed by the Rikti. Saves time

Well my stoner is Turbocharged via IO to the point where he has good mobility in granted+rooted. If a kin hits it with SB now my stoner obtains hurricane level run speed and permacharge to powers.

Hmmm think maybe one day a Master of LGTF badge will come? perhaps all the TF/SF should have a "master" badge?
