Fantastic Screenshot of the Arachnos Flyer!

Yesterday afternoon, I helped complete Statesman's TF for the first time since it went live, and snagged a fantastic screenshot of LR's flyer while we were taking down his web towers.

The last moment of the final battle with LR proved remarkably easy. When his HP was down to a sliver, a bunch of his minions appeared out of nowhere. I tossed out a Fulcrum Shift and the fight was over within seconds. The next thing I knew, a Mission Complete notice was staring me in the face.

I also earned my Peerless, Diplomat, and Saved the World badges.

Wow. Just... wow! That's a great shot of the flyer! I'd love to have your rig, Nyght.

I run on max too. I used to run this game back in the day on a 6800GT. I run this at 1600x1200 cranked to max on everything now, it's worth it. If you spend a ton of time on the game anyways, you might as well. Hobby expenditures, just like a guy who loves photography, lenses cost a lot of money, but hey, if you love it, it's money well spent!

So if any of you have the means and love this game -- do it! :P

Some screens of mine can be found here

I literally have like, over 2000 screenshots though, not posted up but on my pc. I take a ton of shots haha. Anyone else have the same habit? I think my shots directory is like a gig+.

Specs:
AMD X2 4800+ dual
ASUS A8N-32 SLI deluxe
2GB PC3500 DDR RAM (mushkin)
eVGA 8800GTX KO ACS3
10mbit cable yadda yadda..

Wonder what the Flier guys' specs are. It's a great shot btw. I also took shots of the flier when my friend and I fought it but I'd need to find 'em!

EDIT: Heres a pic of the flier not as nice a shot as the OPs but someone DID nuke it and you can see the residual effects lol.

EDIT2: my screenshot directory is 1.71 gb, jeez!

Thanks.

My Specs:

Alienware Area-51 Series 7500

ASUSTek P5ND2-SLI Intel Edition nForce4
Dual Core Pentium D 940 3.2GHz
256MB GeForce 7800 GTX
2GB PC5300 (333MHz) DDR2 SD-RAM
Soundlbaster Audigy 2 ZS
WinXP HE SP2
DX 9.0c
Forceware 163.76

Purchased February, 2006 for $2800.

Since switching to console gaming last September (XBox 360 Elite), CoH is now the only video game I play on my PC. I play at 1024x768 with everything maxed, and am generally able to maintain a consistent 30 FPS regardless of how intense the action gets. The only two things I don't have enabled are Depth of Field and Bloom. I don't like the soft edges the game engine casts on objects. I feel like I'm playing some kind of weird dream sequence.

Prior to my upgrade, I was playing with a 6-yr old Pentium 4 1.6GHz, 512MB SD-RAM, and a 128MB GeForceTi 4600. I had to minimize several visual effects to maintain even half way decent framerates. The first time I logged in with my Alienware, Paragon City looked like a whole new world - it looked like a city for the first time in two years! I've been in superhero heaven ever since.

>_>

<_<

Multiple directories<--- 48.48 gigs of screenshots from the past 42 months, and 96.8 gigs of video >_> And I really...really need to organize that crap >_<

But then, I use .tga for my screenshots, as they are lossless, and I noticed the compression artifacts in jpg. So each file is 6.6 Mb. And I really haven't been as good about taking screen shots since I started recording with FRAPS, I didn't even think to get any stills of the Jade Spider or the Flier : p

But I do have some shots <_< Since the thread is going that way ^_^

Submarine? What submarine?

Fire BAAAD!

Who has your Statesman?

We have your Statesman!

I'll trade him for your lair though...seriously >_>

Jack Kirby would be proud...

Just because I am a mind controller, doesn't mean I cannot cause property damage : p

Yes, that car got caught in the tornado...I just wish that added to the damage.

One problem, most of my screen shots actually have too many effects >_>

Yes, that's the Honoree in there...

Our old friends bring their fashionable sense of evil with them!

And since you are tired of my giant screen shots by now...

Tiny screen shots!

Because I wanted to know just how many instances I could run before my processor fried....Five, by the by. Tried six, and things started clunking in my box >_>

I can see forever 0.0

Your old comp is almost EXACTLY like my current. The only difference? Mine is 200mhz faster in the processor speed. Everything else is the same.
