((Until said plasma gets above around 1600 C, anyway. But yes, there are metals that can take 'standard' plasmas - around 5500 C.))

((Ah, alright then. Post coming soon.))
((Well then the whole question is, what C would a stream of 'pure concentrated plasma' be? Assuming this is the kind of stream we would get from an assault bot, so maybe a foot in diameter, and I'm assuming from the description and visual experience it would be a stream about...oh, three meters in length. What matters most though would be consistency so...
I personally think it would burn right through like a missile going through tissue paper.))
[Well, I dunno, Angus uses Plasma as his chief form of attack, so I'd imagine his body would be made of the right sort of material to withstand the stuff. Of course, angus fires off superheated chlorene for his snipe, and the type of gas might have something to do with it. For COH storyline, just imagine his outer casing to be made of a rikti alloy or impervium.]

((Actually, you'd probably be surprised at the sheer versatility of plasma physcis so long as the proper application fo directed force is present. ))
Scirocco did just so, boarding the lead Flyer of the quartet he'd traveled to the Fortress with.
"Status of our air cover?" he inquired of the pilot, once more running through his strategy.
"Twitchy." the aviation specialist retorted calmly, having contacted the airport not a few minutes ago.
"Something's really getting to them over there." she went on with the last she'd heard, "Everyone with mental powers is dead in the water, and apparently there's a movie monster eating people. They think it might be some mutated from of Hydra."
"Hmh." Malak huffed, in no hurry to handle yet another problem personally, "Very well, one step at a time: are the attack bombers ready?"
"Affirmative."
"Good." Scirocco's eyes closed for a moment in the nod that accompanied his response, "Next: have the other factions present at the airfield been engaged?"
"Negative. However, personnel of the Council, Malta Group, and the Knives of Artemis have joined Arachnos patrols. Their effectiveness is...questionable, though."
Malak huffed. He knew well what that meant - they pretended to work and mostly stood around to chuckle at their Arachnos counterparts. Real help was not to be expected.
"Get a message to Tamesis." he told the communications operator, "He is to proceed to the airfield as soon as possible to correct this situation. Give him any aid he desires. If he cannot, inform our carrier in Independence Port to launch a flight."
The man gave a nod as his answer, then sent the call out. However, thanks to Arachnos communication protocols, chances were close to zero that it would get to Tamesis before Daos did; the reason why Scirocco hadn't included an order not to kill Cynic. He knew the Arbiter would be there before the message.
And thus the four Flyers departed...
--------------------
The inspector shook his head. Despite their extensive armed forces, Arachnos still relied on metahuman powers for a great deal of specialty operation. A radiation wielder, or the like of was needed here - someone capable of cutting through strong defenses.
The Bane Spider, however, didn't know of any presently within the Fortress with the necessary skills...

Bladewing glanced at Dax and the soon to be demi-god Bang.
"Well you guys obviously have a ton of catching up to do, so I'm gonna go look for some villans to hospitalize or put inside a pine box."
With that, Bladewing flipped into the air and made sonic tracks in the direction of the largest energy emissions.

Meanwhile, back in Steel Canyon, quite the opposite was happening.
An unseen quantum vortex was leeching energy from the Sky Raiders, the Skiffs, even the jump bots, and rebuilding Acanous from a sub-atomic level.
The force of the void lifted his body into the air, filling him with power- it even fixed his armour.
Depositing Acanous back on the ground gently, a light breeze was the only trace anything had really happened at all.
Well, that, and Acanous was standing there, apperently unharmed, and restoring his shielding.

My thoughts on November 30.
Energon X stared for a moment as the monster calmly 'ate' the Cryo Freeze Ray beam. Buh..? was his only thought as it somehow turned the beam that was causing it to hemmhorage heat energy all over the place into another source of power. [censored] psionics... think they're so hot just because they don't have to abide by the same laws of physics as the rest of us... he growled to himself.
With that, the Blaster shrugged, lobbed an LRM Rocket at the monster, 'holstered' his giant frankengun back into its pocket dimension, and outraced the missile. Blurring around the monster in a streak of purple-and-gold, he rammed into it like a crimson thunderbolt, then darted back. If all went according to plan, he'd just jolted the monster forwards into the missile, multiplying the explosive force and wrecking whatever bit was 'absorbing cold', since the thing seemed to have trouble switching rapidly between damage types.
Not far away, Target was cursing himself quite roundly. He'd been a little distracted, true, but the danger you hadn't noticed could kill you just as readily as the one you had. As the Sky Raiders lined up their missiles, he'd made his stolen Skiff jump skywards like a goosed pheasant- whatever their other faults, the Sky Raiders made good miniplanes- and then the world turned into a failed screentest for a Balrog, all blotchy shadows and flame.
He rolled the Skiff, dumping the ex-pilot on top of one of the other Raiders, then brought it around to try and spot where Acanous had fallen. He glanced around warily- the Sky Raiders were a bit shellshocked by the impossible explosion that had just assaulted their senses, and hadn't really realized there was now an unfriendly Skiff around... but they and Acanous weren't the only players in this game, unless the Raiders had started mounting Plasma Cannons along with their favoured railguns and chainguns.
The archer banked again, searching for both potential friend or potential foe. Then he spotted the 'bots. Arachnos. Should have guessed, what with one thing and another here. Well, surprise, boys. The Sky Skiff shot forwards, accelerating hard enough to nearly crack the Archer's ribcage for the second time that day.
Almost a pity to lose this thing. he thought as he leapt clear, flying vertically to lose himself in the shadow of a half-ruined building. I miss being able to pick up a Longbow Chaser if I needed to. Below, the Sky Skiff slammed into the building where he'd briefly seen the Mastermind 'bots, crumpling for a split second before the explosive arrows he'd crammed into every space in the cockpit that he could reach detonated, turning the Skiff, and then the Skiff's impressive loadout of munitions, into the world's biggest fragmentation grenade.

((The bots are now flying outside the building, Cham. >.>)
While it was true Angus had just caught Jake's 'bots off guard, a smoke grenade wasn't going to do much to obstruct their vision. The five of them simply changed their view to thermal, the giant Assault Bot, W0-07, literally swinging his arm around at the attacker, hoping to catch him in the face with a four hundred pound hunk of metal.
The other four continued their onslaught of plasma at Acanous, refusing to stop until he was either dead or incapacitated. However, considering this was roughly his third time to be brought back from the brink of death today, it seemed that the latter would have to be the solution.
In any case, Acanous would be getting a fresh wave of plasma flying in his direction.
-----
Part of the concrete building broke off as Jake used it to push himself off of it, using the boost to increase his speed as he flew towards the attacker. This move would normally be considered suicide, especially against a hero, but his plan was not to make contact, but rather to increase the force of his Force Bolt. Angus would find that at least two metric tons of force were now flying towards him at nearly the speed of a bullet.
Jake pulled himself out of his suicide dive, flying about twenty yards away and turning back around to survey the damage done to the newcomer.

"Well, damn." Tamesis muttered, kicking an imaginary rock on the ground and glancing back at the Bane Spider. "You sure? Nothing in the armory?" Upon seeing the nod, he sighed.
"What about supers? Surely we have some of those on call." This would be his last hope. Only a different kind of super would help him in this situation.
"That will not be necessary, Arbiter Tamesis." Said a very old and tired voice. Arbiter Daos, flanked by his assistants, came into view just behind the group of Bane Spiders.
"Oh great. More freaks." Cynic huffed. 'I'm never going to get out of here at this rate.' He huffed to himself.
"Tell me, Arbiter." Daos addressed directly to Tamesis. "Who do you attack?"
"He attacks suggestively. Really. First he tries to do something with my staff here, then he launches white goo at me, and now he's asking for something to dominate me." Cynic replied with a chuckle. Daos ignored this and awaited Tamesis' response.
"Oh, Arbiter Daos!" Tamesis cried, spinning around and giving an automatic salute to his superior, glaring back at Cynic for his 'freak' remark.
Glancing back at Daos, Tamesis replied, "I attack an intruder, sir, under Scirrocco's orders. Is there a problem, sir?"
The rocket lobbed itself into the monster and ticked once into an explosion that nearly doubled the size of the amorphous mass and shattering the ice that covered its chest. "I didn't feel that but the people below are going to." The monster became a uniform mass and splattered to the streets below in an acid that at through at a gradual place down.
Just keep going down and he will nearly double his efforts I know it, I just know it. Cry was saddened though, he had heard Energon-X was a ruthless patriot driving forward but maybe Cry had given him to much of a impossible challange and the only way Cry was going to succeed is if Energon-X kept using his own energy to power Cry's own dimensional battery.
The glob waned and formed at a point where it hardened to stone covering a spherical object. The shell cracked and the villain incarnate of the mind and dead floated behind a bubble of shields and wards. Cry returned his mind and spirit to his body as he reached back to full power. He smirked at the result of the acid bath in the crator had fallen on a residence that helped the poor.
"So many bodies... dead bodies." Cry clenched his fist and a burst or explosion in the distance cracked the sky. Cry put forth his finger pointing at Energon-X who was probably wondering who the hell this thing was. Husks, and skeletons of the dead residence lifted and then fell as a fluff of pink and ambiance shot to the end of the finger of Cry. "Boom." The shock wave down in a "matrix style" motion, cut through the landscape and Cry was recoiled into the ground his shield forming a perfect cup.
The beam of the soul energy and psychic charged particles moved across the horizon at its target.
"Yes. You see, apparently he is also an honorary Arachnos Arbiter." Daos said, giving Tamesis a stare that seemed to drill through his eyes and gouge his brain before exiting his skull.
"I'm a what now?" Cynic asked, confused.
"Well, this can't be good." Groul remarked to his diminutive comrade, looking to the Specialist for a second opinion, "No response. Think he ran into something?"
"I'd say it's likely." Danger answered with thought, placing a pair of fingers to his ear, but this time remaining at English, "Specialist Danger to the Dark Dragon - permission to pursue Energon X and intervene if necessary."
"Permission granted." came the prompt reply, "But try not to delay long. I'm sending over Fi once you're outside. I'm assuming your dark suits took enough of a beating to be rendered non-factors?"
"Essentially."
"You know what to do then."
"Of course, Chief. Danger out."
The Specialist then turned to his red-scaled compatriot, the towering draconian of course having heard the same, "You good with taking the carrier by yourself?"
"If worse comes to worse, I'll call for backup." Groul smiled toothily, "You know me."
"Precisely what I'm worried about." Danger smirked in a superior manner, walking back to the armorsuit he'd left at the edge of the table, "No repeats of that last Shade, Mr. Muscle Head."
"I'll be careful, mother." Groul chuckled, "Want a lift to the door?"
"I sure won't say no." the Specialist replied, climbing back into the exosuit for a few seconds, his tiny fingers tapping something into its systems.
TIME - 00:11:82
"Don't forget to hit yours too." Danger reminded the red-scaled being as he climbed into the palm of Groul's ready hand, "No sense in leaving any loose ends we'd have to come back for later."
"I'll punch in the destruct sequence on our way out." the draconian assured his associate as he placed the tiny blue man upon his left shoulder. He then turned to Wolffe and the others assembled, showing them the communications device in his claws, "Offer's still open if any of you change your mind. Oh, and don't stand near that suit when it goes. It'll smell awful..."

SOULS you say? *Strokes goatee*))
Two figures stood atop a building in Steel Canyon, viewing the battle below with a sort of morbid curiosity. Odds were, the Arachnos forces were going to win, considering all but three heroes were on the scene and the Sky Raiders seemed to be up to the necks with one of them. One seemed to be jumpier than the other, fidgeting around with what could be described as almost anxiousness.
"The Hell are you so worked up about?" A transparent figure cried, his voice giving away his obvious teenage age.
"I just felt something. Something reeeeeaaaaally powerful." The other replied, his deepened voice showing him to be many years older than his youthful counterpart.
"What? Somebody else coming?"
"No, no, not that. It was off in the distance. Just some really huge discharge of spiritual energy. "
"Well, let's not get involved. Until we actually find the main force of heroes, we're not going to be doing much good. Hell, I'd even advise against getting involved with this little brawl until we see some actual resistance coming from the heroes."
"Yeah."
The older one sat down on the edge of the building with the ghost.
"Hey Dennis?"
"Yeah Dusan?"
"You ever wonder why we're here?"
"... No, I never, ever, wonder why we're here."

"Well, OK the-What the Hell? He's an honorary what?!" Tamesis wasn't so much outraged at this as he was shocked. "But he didn't even know this was an Arachnos Outpost! He didn't even have the identification to open a simple door! How is he an honorary Arbiter?!" He dropped his salute, instead using his hands to display gestures indicating confusion and slight annoyance.
"Oh dear. It looks like that announcement DIDN'T get around then." Daos said levelly.
"That's just me boy." Cynic said, hovering next to Tamesis. "Life just works that way. You spend years of grueling work getting where you are and I do the same thing within two minutes of arriving. Think I may have stepped on the right person's toes."
"I think I'd better handle this." Daos said loudly, making sure everyone could hear him. "I'm sure nothing worthy of attention happened here. I am sure Lord Recluse would be ANNOYED to hear an Arbiter was inconvenienced in any way."
"Which is why it is a good thing nothing happened here." One of his assistants chipped in, catching on quickly.

"I hate bureaucracy." the inspector grumbled, taking the sonic cannon back to the armory, "Need a more streamlined system."
To add insult to injury, it was at that moment a certain message came over the Bane Spider's comm. link, complete with instructions to deliver to Tamesis posthaste.
"Eh, whatever." the inspector sighed, turning to walk back to the gathered Arbiters, "So long as we get to hurt people, I guess it's all good."
And completing his murmured monologue, he set about to deliver Scirocco's message...

Energon X just kind of facepalmed as the skyscraper-sized monster dissolved, spitting out an egg, that hatched... "A zombie baby? What... the... [censored]..!!?" he said aloud, visibly startled. Then he rallied. "Oh... right. Lieutenant Cry, I presume?" Then the baby did... something... Skeletons? and lobbed a beam at the Blaster.
Unfortunately for Cry, it seemed that without his psionics to warn him what his target was going to do, his infant reflexes just weren't that hot (nor, for that matter, was his aim). With a streak of purple and gold that speared half the length of Steel Canyon in a heartbeat, the Blaster appeared behind the bubble-baby with a noise like tearing silk, driving red-glowing fists at his enemy.
Time and space wavered and distorted as the Blaster reached deep into his energy source, the physical laws of another universe entirely beginning to leak into his own as he hammered on Cry with increased urgency. E-X was a blurred blaze of purple fire as two red-glowing blows that caused visible shockwaves, followed by a third that would pinball Cry away, slamming through buildings to fetch up... hard... against the zone's War Walls, assuming nothing interfered.
