An attempt at inking

Since I been haunting the forum and lurking the various posts, I decided I should actually post something myself. Having looked at a few of the things others had inked, I figured I would give it a shot.

This is my inking attempt on Barbedwire Bob my wife level 50 Spines Dark Scrapper. http://greenemesis.deviantart.com/ar...Inked-66871699
I don't have illustrator so I didn't apply color. I would be interested in seeing what this would look like in color. Here are the reference shots I worked from. http://greenemesis.deviantart.com/ar...rence-67029818

Any inking tips from more experienced hands would be appreciated.

Nice style... lots of character to this.

Very nice! Good sense of character, and perspective. My only recommendation would be something that you could only do with Photoshop, or a similar type of program, and that would be to adjust your levels to darken up the lines.

Other than that, it's great!

For drawing and inking, I highly recommend Adobe Illustrator. If that's not available, or too expensive, then I might try Corel Draw, as it's more or less the same.

Anyway, keep it up, you've obviously got lots of talent!

I've seen many professional illustrations in books that did not look as good as this. Really nice job.

If your interested in getting more practise, here is a sketch I did at work today. I'd like to ink it so I can color it, but am no good ant inking.

Thanks for the feed back...I had a lousy scanner, and so the levels came out funny. I could be just a little ignorant as to how to use it. Bram I would help you out, But without Photoshop or illustrator, I couldn't clean up any of the artifacts left from the sketching process. It is a cool picture though. I think it will look awesome when done.
