You're quite welcome, LJ! Sorry it took me a bit to reply, My wife is in the hospital with pneumonia, so I'm a bit AFK for the time being.

...or something like that.

Here's a couple of new pieces that I just did. Neither of them are directly related to CoX, but I keep trying to think of a way to create them in game. (so if anyone has any ideas...)

Anyway, here ya go.

Thank you all!

Here's another one that I just finished. It's also not CoX related, but I really like it.

Wait, that can't be drawn and inked, that's just a photo that's been photoshop'd!

Just kidding, that is amazing work! It is very realistic. That seagull should be proud!

Thanks on both accounts. No, it's not photoshopped, though I'm glad you think it looks very realistic.

I stayed the night with my wife in the hospital last night, and was with her most of the day today. I wouldn't have come home, but we have pets to care for, and she made me come home since I have to work tomorrow. She's doing better, but they're concerned that her white blood cell count isn't increasing, so they're monitoring that closely.

At any rate, I've been passing along everyone's thoughts, and I know she appreciates it very much. I'll be very glad when she's able to come home.

Very good news that she is doing better! I hope you both the best. Having a loved one in the hospital can be a trying time, but she is in the best of care! Here's to a speedy recovery!

it made me feel like I was at work ... stupid seagulls.

Rofl. Well, sorry to send bad vibes. We don't have seagulls here, so it makes me feel like I'm on vacation!

Glad to hear your wife is doing better... all the best to her complete recovery, and start making that chicken soup now for when she gets home!

Posted

Thanks, LJ. They just released her today, and we just got home a little bit ago. I'll be staying home with her for a few days to make sure she's doing alright.

Regardless, I really appreciate the strong encouragement and support that everyone's been giving.

Meh, the pic's kinda raw, but it gets the point across.

*note to self: no more "cool talk". I don't think the kids dig it.*

The 'nurse' in me must chime in (mommagoat was a nurse for 30+ years)...

Keep her elevated while she rests, so fluff up lots of pillows for her and I always found tea to help a lot.

I had walking pneumonia when I was little, and I remember how bad it was. Much juju for your wife, and what an awesome husband to be taking care of her like that XD

Posted

Heh. Yeah, I pretty much told her, in no uncertain terms, that she is not to do anything but rest. She's not much of a tea person, but I think we bought most of the store's latest shipment of Welch's, so she should be good for a bit.

"homeskillets"? Now I have the biggest craving for some flapjacks!

I wants to color that...

And if yer wife likes movies, rent her FF 1 and FF 2... she needs to catch up on her superheroes!

Oh oh! Sky High XD I love that movie.
